After the second pick the Ole Miss game, what harm would have it been. I realize that would have been a bit surprizing pulling him a possession or two, early in the game. But how harmful or helpful overall would a bold move like that have been.I know the D was a factor but Mett older and shoulders more accountability, but also still got some developement to get.

It was a mistake not preparing him to play football in 2011. Then we would not have been beaten 21-0 in the championship game after going 13-0 and beating the crap out of every team we played except for Alabama.

Maybe we should actually practice throwing to other receivers so he doesn't feel like he needs to force it

He should have never been put on defense.

Yep. Obviously they practice it, but someone's got to step up on gameday.

Normally I would I agree with this but Mett did throw 3 ints and I believe that was the deciding factor in the game.

I'm pretty firm in sitting a player for poor performance. Honestly believe the threat of losing your spit makes you better.

i think it would have been a good idea assuming mett had choices on who to throw those passes to (i'm pretty sure he does have options). making the same mistake twice deserves a coach conference. then maybe he wouldn't have made the third one.

I don't think so. He played well in the second half.

You don't pull a QB unless he is having multiple game struggles. You guys are dumbasses. Do u ever watch upper level football?? This was his first bad game all year. Brees even has off games, so I guess Coach SP should yank him. Hell no. Idiots man.

I think it would be dumb to bench your starting QB...without a legitimate backup, who has had no problems with ints all year.

The thought that fear of losing his job is going to make Mettenberger better at this point is absurd.

Hardly. For starters, we should have been getting experience in a long time ago. Not when it's time to start. Garbage time experience is better than none.

Secondly, against Florida I'd give a pass but after ole miss I would have say him for a series or so.

Hill sits for a fumble mett should sit for 3 ints.

Yes.

After int number 2 I would've put in rivers or AJ. Even if it's just to hand off. Let him watch from the sidelines and get his head straight.

Stupid. You have a senior quarterback in an SEC game who has been great all year, he throws a couple of picks and we should put him on the sidelines? Could have ruined his confidence.

Coaches made the right call and he almost led us all the way back.

In 2006 Jamarcus threw 3 INTs vs Tennessee, wasn't pulled.

In 2007, matt Flynn three 3 INTs vs bama, wasn't pulled.

In 2008, Jarrett lee threw 3 INT's against bama wasn't pulled.

In 2011, Jarrett lee threw two INT's, benched for the rest of the season.
