This would be a significantly better thing for our student body to do than to yell "Suck that Tiger Dick Bitch". Funny how people on here say storming the court would be embarrassing, yet they think that chant is awesome and "a great LSU tradition".

And da tru shall set you free!!!

Absolutely agree with this...for once!!!!

All season it's just bash bash bash bash fans for not supporting the team (football, basketball, I'm sure it will come up in baseball too). But if they ever did something like storm the court (or yell the wrong way), it is "pathetic" and we should "act like we've been there before"

It is possible to support the team without acting like a total 6 year old azzhat running to the ice cream truck!!!
It's not the same as not showing up to games or leaving early.

Storming the court is for those who dont think they should have won. Act like you have been there and should be there (in the winners circle). This UK team is good but not worthy of a storm... this from a UK fan. UK is 1-5 away from Rupp this season by the way.

CJJ had an excellent game plan - must have read my post yesterday. Play zone, pack the paint, and pressure the ball in the half court. UK plays/shoots like shite on the road and does not protect the ball well. When put under pressure the pups make mistakes.

JOB3 may have gotten the points last night but Mickey was the game changer. His defense in the middle was what kept UK from clawing back in it. He is the real deal.

You must not follow your team very closely.

To the contrary, I follow them very closely. Not living in the state anymore I dont have to look at the program through blue shades...

Dont get me wrong, They have a load of talent - they are just too inexperienced.

I meant you had their record wrong. They are not 1-5 away from Rupp Arena this season.

Funny how court storming is stupid to some of you people, but a couple of great football moments resulted in field storming and nobody looks back on those with long faces.

We forget that these are students watching other students play. Who cares if they storm the court?

As for the fine...maybe it serves LSU right to pay some cash after all the pick pocketing they've done to fans over the years.

Me. Because it makes us look dumb and costs out Athletic Department money.

Those were more epic - LSU's first win against a #1 team in Florida (breaking their huge SEC winning streak), beating Bama for the first time at home in like 30 years and beating Auburn in December to go to LSU's first SEC Championship Game in Atlanta.

The comparable one would be LSU beating #11 Tennessee and storming the field (but that had a lot to do with that Tennessee writer saying Death Valley was dead and was a myth in his column leading up to that game).

It's not that big of a deal either way (other than the $25,000 fine), but last night did not seem quite that epic. It was a great win against a very good team and a complete game though. If they would've though, I guess they got there through the crappy weather conditions to support the team so it would be hard to be really upset.

You don't chant "overrated" and then storm the court. That's just idiotic.

Being that the world was ending outside, I figured that might be some cause for an ironic court storming, but I'm pleased that it did not happen.

Yeah I wanted to hate on the students for the overrated chant but they came so strong last night I gotta give them a pass.

I would prefer we didn't chant overrated either. It just screams we aren't worthy to play with the likes of Kentucky as if it is surprising that we could beat a #11 team. Maybe I think we are better than we actually are, but LSU has recent basketball history, we've been to the Final Four within the last 10 years. Only 24 out of 181 teams can say that, and only 3 out 14 SEC schools that can say that. Sure we've had some bad years, but we are relevant. So in conclusion, we are better than storming the court in a win against #11 team in the country.

While we all know the literal meaning of the over rated chant in sport ita suspended and known as a victory cheer against a good team, in sport. No one thinks that it takes away anypart ofthe win amd is just a final jab to to the losing team that was the favorite. Sometimes we dont need to break down everything and just enjoy the moment

Their five losses are on two nuetral sites (Mich St, Baylor),at North Carolina, at Ark, and at LSU. The beat Vandy in Nashville. All remaining games at Rupp.

Oops, One more nuetral site win against Providence... 2-5 away from Rupp. I stand corrected. I even watched that game

Maybe the overrated chant was directed at Randle himself? In the end, I don't really see what the big deal is. As you stated they showed up so I could give a shite less what they say.

Lol no it wasn't. It was directed at Kentucky. LSU students as a whole aren't smart enough to know who's a highly rated recruit and who isn't and then give him the business.

Though it did seem like we got to him. He was really pouting and put his head in his hands when he sat down.

He was not by himself. I saw all of the young Kittens hanging their heads at one time or another. They could not defend what LSU put on the floor. When KY players made a move to stop one thing LSU simply did something else. Cal should be bald by now from pulling his hair out. Defense has been the problem all season and particularly at key moments in the game like the end.
