walker/jackson/cambell.....laugh it off....he was a &^%$up, but dude was incredible......
he had his chance Un the NFL before he got arrested and never showed ability even close to those three. I mean not even close; if he was anywhere near the talent of those three it would have been apparent.

I'm not denying he was a good back but his legend has grown to a ridiculous level based on a few good games.

Kevin impacted the program more than any of those guys.

Since Kevin helped LSU keep a ton of instate players they have won 2 national championships.

At the time he was the #2 ***** runningback in the nation behind Fred Taylor and it was almost unheard of for a player of his caliber to pass on Florida State and Notre Dame and attend LSU.

I didn't get a chance to watch many of those guys being that i'm 23 but I know how much Kevin turned this program around and got us out of the dark ages when 7 wins was optimistic.

by the time he got the the NFL he was a complete *&^% up....and then even still he was doing well before getting arrested.......the funny thing with you is that you are too young to even remember him, but still ACT like you remember him.....the guy had size, power, speed, explosiveness....he was a freak of nature....just a &*^% up......and you can think what you want...I don't really care.

I was at LSU from 95 to 99 so I think I remember both backs pretty well. too young?

you are limiting your views based on your age.
We have had other great backs...and yes , better.

From the backs I've watched in person (since 1973), I feel

Collins
Hilliard
Faulk
Alexander
Robiske

Top 5

Cecil Collins played in 4 games at LSU

How you can rank him #1 of all time is beyond me.

Maybe #1 in Mcneese history.

only at LSU would our greatest running back of all time be a second stringer.

it's ridiculous so I found it funny. it's a completely made up assertion by you; I mean maybe if you had a quote from Kevin Faulk confirming it that might be something but to credit Collins for Faulks success out of thin air is pretty ridiculous.

Am I more credible if I make a comment on somthing you like and might agree with? Example : You have a smokin hot girlfriend/ wife, or wow have you lost a few pounds, you really look fit. How credible is Corso when he puts on the Tiger's head? You like these things? Right.

For is this not pious, those things which are loved by the Gods, and that which is not dear to the Gods is impious, Euthyphro?

Kevin Faulk was the most important player in LSU history. It was said earlier. He changed the landscape of LSU football. The Warrick Dunns no longer left to go to FSU after Kevin.

If I had to pick one LSU RB as "the best we ever had", I believe I would have to pick Dalton Hilliard.

From the time he arrived, he was a game changer. Off the field, he handled himself very well while he was here. I got to meet him a few times- he seemed like a real nice guy. Always very reserved; never seemed to Promote himself like the showboats we all can't help but see in today's game.

He just "got it done". He'd be my pick for the best ever.

Now- This doesn't take away in my mind the fact that what guys like Faulk, H. Williams, Alexander, and Cannon did for LSU was amazing. Kevin Faulk's longevity in the game says an awful lot; simply awesome!!

Kevin Faulk was the most important player in LSU history

You are forgetting that Cannon won both the Heisman and a national championship

Hillard to me was still the best (admit bias I had several classes with him)

Alexander the great 2nd (saw him play as a kid)

Never saw Cannon or Stoval play in person but I imagine Faulk is only 4 or 5th on the list.

definitely the most important RB (maybe recruit of any position) ever IMO. Without him, the Magic is never back and the foundation is never laid for what would soon follow.

so how could he not be the best EVER?!

I mean Faulk only had 4 1000-yd seasons. what's that to the legend of the Diesel, or the Heisman winner and runner up?!

Y'all are showing your youth and forgetting LSU history....

Steve Van Buren...if you ask the NFL guys, that's the name they would give....
