Lock up in state recruits! No magic potion needed. Below is a potential starting lineup of the top players from our state. Notice most of these guys are top 10-15 at their position.
PG- Tweety Carter--- Baylor
SG- LaceDarius Dunn--- Baylor
SF- Tasmin Mitchell
PF- Storm Warren/ Garrett Green
C- Greg Monroe

Notice: this is not an indictment on any coach. Just an observation of the talent in Louisiana

Ive said this all along, we dont consider IN-STATE players.

This years in state players include Markel Brown, Brian Williams, Langston Galloway, Ronald McGhee, and about 5 more players that dont come to mind right now.

Spot on work there ol' Bailey, sir. Thank you for skipping over the point of the post to try to correct what you percieve as a mistake. Truthfully, the starting lineup is a woulda been for this season, as most of these players will be in the NBA next year anyway.

It's been talked about ad-nauseum.....we though DJ was coming here.

Katrina had other ideas for DJ.....

Monroe was not coming to LSU.....it's not because we didn't TRY to get him here.

No but it wouldn't hurt to show some interest in them... We already have the high chance they are lsu fans in our favor so a little persuasion may be all they need to come to lsu

not every talented Louisiana born athelete will come to lsu but there is never any reason to let them leave the state without trying

Indeed. All we need to do now is hire Sylvester Croom as Trent Johnson's assistant and we'll be set.

We got Mitchell

Brady failed to get Tweety and Dunn;

Trent failed on the big dude at Georgetown!

Brady did it though! Jowls has got to pay! B-b-b-but WAIT, Brady is in Ar-Kansas and Trent Johnson ain't fixed SHIITE!

I still say Jowls did it! That my view and I'm stikin' it to Jowls. Yikes, not a good thought!

PS...  This is a Brady-Hater-Fix!!!!

Wow for racism and for just being the typical anti-basketball douche.

Do you honestly believe any LSU coach is not aware of talented in state players. Did you ever think that not every player wants to come to LSU? When 50% of the natinal top 100 players sign with out of state schools Louisiana is no different.

You also have to know the make up of the team at the time, scholarships available. It is easy to cherry pick players every year who are from Louisana and playing well elsewhere without putting it in context.

Wrong.

It's Brady who had no chance with Monroe. His parents didn't like him.

I'm told the staff likes Turner over Markel Brown. Now I think Trent's talent evaluation is up for questioning given what I've seen to this point but let's hope he's right.

I've seen Derenbecker vs. Galloway and I think we've got the better of those two.

McGhee...don't know anything about him but I do really like Ross-Miller and the pure talent of Stringer.

We recruited well this year albeit only one Louisiana boy.

We need to follow it up though. We've done enough putting off for the future in the first two years under TJ.

It's not cherry picking. It's evaluating talent.
