Just for shits and giggles I searched for and found the WF Baseball message board. Gotta say, it was interesting.

1. One old boy said, “I thought their pitching sucked, but it seems every guy they’ve put out there is Cy Young…what gives?” Thought that was funny.

2. It’s apparent that they…Do. Not. Want. To face Skenes in a potential Thursday game. Damn I hope this happens.

3…..and this made me laugh out loud…”I’m half convinced LSU could run Bobby Boucher out there tomorrow and he could go 5+. Gonna need a gritty effort from our guys.”

Man, I hate that LSU is having to do this the hard way, but this team has been special all year. This has been fun, and I hope they can battle it out and win the Natty. Geaux Tigers!

On a personal note, I operated a commercial flight from the panhandle of FL, up to Omaha on Friday. I was thrilled to see a large contingent of Tiger Faithful on my plane. I made sure to greet each one of them as they deplaned…of course sporting my LSU Baseball cap. Haha.

No, they absolutely do not. Which puts the pressure mostly on them. I think the Crews home run was so big. It was like a weight loss as lifted not only off him, but the entire team. They were having fun for the 1st time in a while. I think that carries over, and we play loose and free and light them up tomorrow.

They have much better pitching, but they’ve never been here before (as evidenced by their weird celebration still 3 wins away from a championship) and I think their great pitching is gonna feel that pressure of not wanting to face Skenes, their butts will pucker, they’ll press and overthrow, not have their typical command, uncharacteristically walk some guys, miss over the plate, and we’ll make them pay.

I’ll take it, but I don’t think we’ll need another Ackenhousen type performance because I think we’re gonna score. And the more we score, the more they succumb to the pressure, and the more we’ll score.

The only caveat is that we can’t give up a few runs early. That 1st inning will be key. If we hold them scoreless in the top and can manage just 1 in the bottom half, the doubt will creep in and the route will be inevitably on. Jumping on Tenner 1st tonight was huge, even if it was only 1.

The Wake team feels the same way. They’re going to play tight today.

It's unfortunate the two best teams this season are on the same side of the draw. They probably realize this is their best shot to win after 50+ years and the only team standing in the way is LSU.

The way UF is playing should scare anyone.

This sounds exactly like what happened in 2017 against Oregon State to me

The different wind direction helped UF on Sunday when they had 4 hits with 3 HRs vs ORU in their 5-4 win.

They were lucky they had the better wind direction in their 2nd game or they lose.

I don’t know if I really disagree with this statement, but Virginia’s coach lost that game against them on Friday by leaving that pitcher in 4 batters too long.

I know Oral Roberts is on fire right now and way better than their 4 seed, but outside of 2 players their overall talent is not even close to Wake or UT’s.

They are playing good ball at the right time but I feel they lucked out by being on the other side of the draw and getting an easier route to the finals. Their pitching does not concern me as much as Wake's.

Thursday is Lowder vs Skenes. 100%

And honestly I think the college baseball world deserves this.

I am not judging teams on 2 games while ignoring their excellent season.
