Most people in Waco think the Briles thing was a media witch hunt. They love Briles. The guy can flat out coach. Read this and tell me it doesn't make you think about the Duke Lacrosse witch hunt. I'd be thrilled with Briles.

Witch hunt, maybe. That shite goes on at a bunch of schools I'm sure. But still, perception is reality to so many people.

1. He is 70 years old. I think we should look long term coach.

2. He doesn't play defense. That's really really important in the SEC. See aTm

Was about to post this. I don't like the fact that he's 60 yrs old. He has baggage no doubt. I think it makes Herman the obvious #1 choice.

Not only was it a witch hunt, it was politically motivated to destroy Kenneth Star. He was president of Baylor.

Back in the 90's he was the Special Prosecutor who uncovered the infamous Monica Lewinski case against President Bill Clinton. There has always been a political vendetta against him.

Briles was collateral damage.

100% was a witch hunt. This stuff happens at every school, fact.

I think there are FOOTBALL reasons for not necessarily wanting to hire him.. The dude doesn't seem to know a whole lot about defense... But the "situation" is not a fair reason to exclude him from the conversation imo

He's 60, but that's still a concern long term-wise

Could care less about perception if we win. What was the perception of Barry Switzer at OU. Jimmy Johnson at Miami? My perception is that they won.

Briles has a great reputation among TX high school coaches. He is still very well thought of in these parts. Crap at Baylor goes on everywhere.

Why would you want that shite at LSU? I transferred from Southeastern Louisiana Uni. to Texas and no one over here likes Briles or what they represent right now. Waco wants to win because Baylor is all they got but a school like A&M or the University of Texas at Austin would not allow a coach like that to step foot on campus so why should LSU?

No, it doesnt. Rapes do, but their level of cover up was unconscionable. His admins were telling girls to change class schedules and avoid their rapists.
