And I hope we see throws to the backs in the flats a lot all year. Widens the defense for LF to go North-south for big gains between tackles. WR screens need to be a big part of our offense. I see cam doin big things this year.

The emergence of Guice is only gonna make Fournette that much better.

Gonna be pound town this season.

Cam has to be drooling over the number of playmakers he has to work with on offense. This has to be a dream come true for any OC. shite, he can draws play calls out of hat and still be successful.

Agreed, so we should see a high degree of varying offensive type play calls.

Yup. Crazy similar to Chubb. I thought the same thing about them so I went and looked into it. According to 247, both were the #5 RB in their class, both 5'11", both 215 lbs, both have great speed and run extremely hard. Both enter their freshman seasons as third string RB behind a Heisman frontrunner and another great back. I hope he is just as talented and successful as Chubb is, but I only hope if he sees a lot of playing time that its not for the same reason as UGA last year.

I had the opportunity to watch Guice in his high school career. And I def see some similarities to Chubb. However, I think Guice has a little more shake and bake than Chubb does. Chubb is more of a north and south, 1 cut up the field monster who is extremely tough and hard to take down and has really good vision.

Guice has more moves IMO. He's still really tough and strong and physical, not saying he's not. But he's got a full arsenal of moves that he uses. He's got a nasty jump spin / spin, lateral agility, stiff arm, etc.

Guice is a hard guy to find a comparisons for because he's very unique. Not a lot of guys possess the size/strength + violent running style + explosiveness + ability to make people miss that Guice does. He's the complete package. I saw him play all through his high school career and the guy that I compare him to is Cadillac Williams @ Auburn. But I def see some similarities between Guice and Chubb. Also see some Knowshon Moreno as well.

Regardless, the kids a monster and going to make a big impact on th field for us and in a lot of different ways. Running the ball, catching the ball, returning game, and I wouldn't be surprised if he was on kickoff team as well. Kids a football player.

frick it...I'll say it as I've been thinking it for awhile now

Guice will be known as a better RB than LF by the time he leaves

there...I said it

LF will more than likely have more yards simply because LF will receive the most carries for 3 straight years and Guice will not have the luxury

but I think Guice will have more memorable plays and leave more of a mark at LSU

He just has IT

My brother literally said the EXACT same thing earlier today

And while I am arguably the biggest Guice fan here, I think some are selling LF a little short simply because he came in with so much hype and didn't have the ridiculous #s some thought he would as a true freshman and it took him a few weeks for the light bulb to go on. . But, people need to remember we arguably had the worst passing attack in the nation. Nobody respected it and we went up against stacked boxes in the SEC 70% of the time. And LF still averaged 5.5ypc. That's ridiculous. And if we can generate just an average passing attack where teams can't stack the box on us most of the time, that will create natural running lanes and LF will have a huge year and be unstoppable. He's gonna have a monster year anyways, but if we can have a passing attack that teams have to respect, it'll be an extremely special year for LF.

Bottom line is this: both guys are special players and we are lucky to have them. They both will do work this year, but imagine what they will do in 2016, when Harris and LF will be JRs and Guice as a sophomore.

You need two great backs these days. There's no way LF will get more than 22-26 caries per game. That's gonna leave those other carries for Guice and Williams. Aside from goal line and short yardage situations, look for Guice to get a lot of those carries. If he produces in the first few games with limited carries, he will get a bigger share of those non-LF carries. Also if LF gets dinged (God forbid), we know we have a guy who can step in and be another potential game changer.

Yep. He has that same "crazy legs", "pinball" style of running. Can't wait.
