I was in the Deaf Dome for the first round game against Purdue. So many things happened in that game that shouldn't have. Then beating Memphis St. two days later. You could smell something special.

We DID lose to UK 3 times that season.
Anyone know why Abernathy was about to scrap with that dude at the end of that clip?

One of those losses was the chicken pox game in which half of LSU's team did not dress out. LSU also lost close games with Kentucky in Rupp Arena (I think the SEC Tourny was at Rupp). I was confident that LSU could beat Kentucky away from Rupp Arena.

If I remember correctly, I think Roger Harden hit a 40 footer at the buzzer to beat us in Baton Rouge.

As we were leaving a UK fan yelled "ya'll suck we beat ya'll three times this year." It was beautiful. 
LSU-Kentucky in the Dale Brown era was the shiznit. I remember Dennis Brown (remember him?) getting the opening tip and taking it down the court for the dunk circa 84 or 85. Every game was just bedlam.

Was that another coach that he was scrapping with? He was being physically restrained.

We were in Ft. Walton for spring break (as was half of LSU),and we ran out from about 5 different rooms all drunk and made a big pile up on the beach like we were the actual players. It was awesome! Proceeded to get drunker.

it was a kentucky asst., i think. i remember it, just don't know the back story.
