It's time to put some of these so-called "legends" like Verne and Brent Mushmouth out to pasture.
I seem to recall Verne yelling "no!" at the end of the 2007 Bama game as well when we forced John Jessica Parker Wilson into fumbling the ball at the Bama goal line.

I'm complaining because they almost take away the suspense of the game.. Ex : saying interception by Russell shepherd ?... Or bitchin about Reid's interception or talking about how alabama needs Julio jones ...

Verne and Gary always suck. If I'm gonna have to listen to announcers making mistakes..I'd rather listen to LSU Sports announcers making mistakes.

Can someone, with all the resources had by CBS, teach Vern how to say Clement and Alleman??!! It is pathetic and annoying, and happens every time he calls a game for us. It's like he is trying to overcompensate and say it more "Cajun-like".

I give credit to Verne - he has made the effort to pronounce both names correctly.
I heard coverage this morning calling Alleman, "Allman".

ha so tru i noticed the change in style. Last night it sounded like in there voices that they were overly pulling for Alabama which is weird.
