I don't doubt that Verge is a good dude but it is a little curious that he hasn't been fired yet. Even if it's just as a fall on the sword type of gesture. Most people would've already been fired.

You tread very carefully when dealing with a guy like that
Especially because he has shown a history of reprisal on those he thinks betrayed him

I suspect he was following protocol. He has the title but I doubt he has the authority to make big decisions.

Verge is married to the daughter one of the most powerful political figures in the Country - Mark Morial. JonBel owes the success of both Governor’s campaigns to Morial, and doesn’t blink w/o Morial’s blessing. You can also thank both Williams’ and Temple’s BOS appointments to Morial as payback.
I’d imagine this is what has insulated Verge this far.

How has no one currently employed by LSU been fired?
I'm not saying Verge should or shouldn't be fired. It
all depends on if he covered up on his own (unlikely) or
was ordered to cover up (very likely). Whoever made the call to cover things up and not take action should be fired.
