Would it help us more if Vandy and/or Ole Miss went 0-1 or 1-2 in the tournament?... Assuming we at least win a few games.

We need to get to the championship game at a minimum to have a shot at being a top 8 seed. Winning it I think gets us a top 8 seed. Having the other borderline national seeds lose early in their conference tournaments will help, but I think it is more on what we do, not what other teams do.

I was told Ole Miss, since they have the tie breaker on us.

They need to go 0'fer and we need to at least make title game, right?

I think both of them need to lose since they're both ahead of us in the poles and rpi.

I was asking if their rpi would drop more if they went:

A) 0-1
or
B) 1-2 (Won the first round and lost two straight)

But either way yes, we do need to atleast make it to the championship. Still will be a long shot though.

Ole Miss and Vandy may be ahead of LSU in RPI but in all the polls so far they aren't ahead of LSU in the rankings.

Vandy current winning %: .732
Vandy 0-1 winning %: .719
Vandy 1-2 winning %: .711

Ole Miss current winning %: .714
Ole Miss 0-1 winning %: .702
Ole Miss 1-2 winning %: .695

From an RPI standpoint, 1-2 hurts their winning percentage more. However, I'm sure the extra 2 games against top level SEC teams would help with their SOS part of the RPI.
