Had a good game. The play where he gets a hand in the QB's face was clutch. That would have been a TD if he hadn't been in the way and caused the QB to throw a bad ball.

Agreed. He's great against the run.

Oddly, at about the 1 min mark on that video he gets blown off the ball. I hadn't seen that happen to him ever before that play.

Nice.

I only noticed him getting blown up once.

He was doubled teamed a lot as well.

He does his job.

id like to see him shed the one vs one blocks...he should be able to throw some of them guys off him...idk if its conditioning or what...but if he had a high motor he would be unstoppable. i think he gets better with every game

Dude is really really good at occupying 2 blockers standing up to that. When it's 1 guy he's getting push into the backfield, if a play goes near him he disengages and makes a tackle. Excited to see him just continue to get better.

Not nearly as good as advertised, but a fairly good nose guard. He was supposed to be a Nick Fairly level impact player. Clearly he is not a guy who is going to take over a game.

His main value to us is that we just don't have anyone else to play that position except Ed Alexander, the true freshman.

I'm laughing. That dude was rocking to O line on almost every play.

I don't think he was ready to come off the ball. He had just reset as the ball as snapped, so hey got a good jump on him. He handled the rest of the double team well.

Yeah obviously as he sheds a few lbs like he wants, he's just going to improve every game. He's gonna be an animal come November

Good lord this couldnt be more far off.

He's every bit what Terrance Cody was for Alabama. Nobody expects a NT to have like 8 tackle, 1 sack type of games. His job is to occupy 2 blockers if he can without getting pushed back and if he's engaged 1 on 1 to win that battle and in that film he does just that every time but once.

Any time a ball carrier comes near him he makes an impact on that play disengaging and making a tackle. Also had a very nice pressure and hit on Fitzgerald which probably threw off his throw to a WIDE OPEN receiver that if caught is a TD.

Are you being serious? He is exactly what I hoped he'd be and is just as good as advertised. Maybe better.

He is there and you can tell he's there. He gets penetration. They aren't running right up the middle on us when he is in the game. When they do run up the middle, I look and he isn't in there.

He saved the game by getting that hand in the QB's face. If not for that, that's a TD and LSU possibly loses.

If he keeps this up consistently and even continues to improve, he will make a huge difference this year. He already has.

Ok, ~15 plays, 3 double teams, tops, maybe only 2.

ETA: and my post was a word play on the "zero fricks given" meme. Rarely are there literally ZERO fricks given. Usually there's one or two or three. LITERALLY.

They don't even have the same roles.

Space eater for sure, at 330/335 where he is a little quicker, he'll be a hand full for a double team as well.

Nice job by the big man.
