P.S.- Once he gets cleared to play, I hope we play the dude on every single snap on offense and defense. I honestly would love to see what all of the fuss and hassle is about with this guy.

I really doubt that he can be counted on prior to 2017. I am not even sure if he is in good enough playing shape right now

Come on man really? Valentine if eligible will be starting game 1. They say he is right now 6'4 just south of 340. The dude is a monster space eater that we haven't had here in God knows for ever. Miles and Co are not wasting there time with this guy for no reason at all. You really think this much time and effort would have been spent on any Joe Blow?

Has anyone ever heard of that 5 day period? I'm sure we're not privy to all the inner workings of NCAA eligibility, but that seems like a pointless step.

It's to get student athletes acclimated to the heat and conditions after a long break. Put in place after a few preseason deaths iirc

Hate to say it but this does not sound good. Could linger on for a while.

No. Les would not have brought him back if it wasn't guaranteed that he would pass this and be eligible for 2016.

Ya'll need to ease up.

The NCAA has now found every strange and sketchy way to make it as hard as possible for this kid to see the field. What's next? NCAA mandate he has to eat a chili dog between each snap?

I agree. The NCAA is a circus. Granted Valentine brought much of this on himself but it seems like the NCAA just keeps coming up with stuff to keep him on the sideline. It's like Catch 22. They keep increasing the number of missions before being eligible to return state side from the war.

After watching Last Chance U I hope this is the last JUCO player we take. And I think the only reason we are giving him a 2nd chance is because he was once a Tiger.

At least he can still practice without the pads instead of sitting around those days doing nothing

So I take this to mean he can't be in pads this week but he'll be able to next week? And in order for him to be eligible to play for LSU in week 1 he has to pass this course? Am I reading this all right?

LSU will keep taking JUCO guys. Some documentary is not going to change that. That kind of stuff has been going on at JUCO's for years.

If I'm reading this right, he has to wait 5 days from when he rejoined practice to go full gear, right?

That would be pretty dumb of us. You would have given up Mettenberger because he was a JC? I'd say that gamble paid off very well.

And what "Guaranty" would that be? It most definitely has to be an incredibly easy class that nobody could possibly flunk.......
