other than most LSU fans not being cajuns since only part of the state really is cajun not really.

ive partied in texas and drank everyone under the table. did the same in cali last week but that was no surprised.

New Orleans and Baton Rouge are not considered cajun, but I bet if you had a poll asking people outside of Louisiana if they thought New Orleans and Baton Rouge were cajun country, the vast majority would say yes, those two cities are cajun.

I'm not a big fan of the "on the bayou" comments either. Anyone know the distance of the closet bayou to campus? Seems like every game starts with this comment...just sayin'

...and a lot of people hate that most of the country believes Orleans Parish is the total geographic area of our State.

The closet bayou? That is easy; the bar at Walk On's!

Let's talk about cajun heritage. It has become a term that has absorbed the Acadians, Creole and direct French heritage mixed in a gumbo so that all of South Louisiana is considered Cajun, all the way up to Avoyelles Parish.

Baton Rouge by its very name is considered French even though it was not part of the Louisiana Purchase. Many of the customs of Baton Rouge come from its own French heritage, such as cooking, parties and the influx of many "cajuns" enrolled at LSU.

To suggest that an LSU Saturday Night is not "cajun" is an indication of someone that has not roamed the campus and participated in many of the Evangeline, Calcasieu, Acadia, St. Mary, Avoyelles, Lafourche, etc. areas where cajuns come and partake of their traditions while tailgating. Are there non-cajuns? Of course, but most of the boisterous groups are probably associated with cajuns. (Some not so nice)

Think about the unique food that most visiting fans talk about. I assure you that it is not chicken and dumplings or pasta.

No, they talk about gumbo, boudin, sausage, etouffee, fried alligator and other delicacies that owe their tradition to a general "Cajun" heritage.

Right... i mean tiger Stadium nor LSU campus is on the Bayou. New Orleans is more on the bayou than Baton Rouge is.
