Have no issue with cox getting the 7 OOC away games.
Mainieri didn't specify that the Cox games were all out of conference. He just said "seven road games." They may be all non-conference games but I didn't hear him say that.

The SEC network will carry 13 games. We play 15 home and 15 away SEC games.

Four of the five away SEC series start on Thursday night, not Friday.

Conversely, four of the five home SEC series start on Friday and only one, Texas A&M, starts on a Thursday.

Is it usually that high? Goodness. That must be the Thursday night ESPNU thing then.

I think the last SEC series starts on Thursday for everyone because of the SEC tournament, but that's definitely an increase in Thursday starts from last year.

I understood the SEC Network would carry ALL baseball games for each team. I am sure I read that! I believed Geaux Zone and all other outlets would lose the rights to coverage. What about people in other parts of LA that don't have Cox? I'm glad I don't have it anymore but they seem to be able to wiggle through.

Cox Sports can't carry any conference games anymore. They lost those rights with the SEC Network deal.

SEC Network+ (through WatchESPN) will carry all home and SEC games whether or not they're on TV, but non-conference road games aren't covered by this. Those are the games that Cox is picking up.

I'm in the same boat, don't have Cox in South Carolina. For non-conference road games, sounds like we're out of luck in terms of TV coverage.

I'm guessing televised games with be locally blacked out on ESPN3. That will be fun.

I'm guessing (hoping) Cox will allow espn3 to stream these games out of market.

sense LSU might have some concerns what the impact of televising 100% of home games might have on actual attendance

And I agree with them on this. I am not a fan

I'll take any bad Cox broadcast over having to listen to Hawthorne on the radio. Great news.

Lyn called a Cox football game last weekend. It may have been a high school playoff game, I'm not sure. I only stopped on the channel for a few seconds when I heard his voice. Rollins' voice is very easy to identify.....
