Nothing real new, but it's from the team doc vs rumor.

"We knew about the back problem coming into last year," Bankston said of Etling.
quote:

"We didn't have time to get it fixed. He played. He never complained, he never told us that he was limited. We wanted to fix it at the end of the season last year but with the new offensive coordinator coming in he said, 'I've got to be there for spring and I don't have time to do this.'"

Etling underwent surgery just days after the April 22 spring game at Tiger Stadium.

"He really was limited in the spring," Bankston said. "It's amazing the difference in his mobility, his accuracy and just his comfort out there on the field since he had this problem fixed."

Etling has said he's better able to step into his throws since the surgery. LSU receivers have also noted better timing with his throws during preseason workouts.

Key:
quote:

"His shoulder looks real good right now," Bankston said. "It's just kind of early after his surgery. His strength is good and I think we're probably going to be a little bit cautious with him coming in, as coach Orgeron alluded to in the press this week. He looks good and I think he's going to have a great season."

Orgeron said Thursday that LSU was "not expecting" to have Key available for the Sept. 2 opener against BYU at NRG Stadium in Houston.

"He's going to his doctor next week and we should know pretty soon when he's going to play," Orgeron said Thursday.

Danny is a warrior. Glad to hear we're playing it safe with Key. I wish Leonard would have sat against Wisconsin last year.

Still makes no sense that Guice barely touched the ball in that game. He fumbled early and that was that.

Anyone screws up and they were benched unless it was his QB. He played Jefferson and Harris come hell or high water. Hell, he wouldn't even give Lee a shot in the title when Jefferson pitched the ball to a Bama LB. shite I'm glad Les is gone.

If Etling starts and plays the entire game, we win. (Even with the Schembechler Offense)

Auburn too. We win if he plays the full game.

Well, at least Mrs. Karma stepped in and did her job.
