King Joey, i wish the rant would attract more rational and cooler Tiger fans like yourself.

Hot Carl, your the only pipsqueak i wish i could post...now take Lee's you know what out of your mouth for one second you tough ranter from miles away you...based on your immature little picture by your name, you've got to be in highschool..why would anyone be so proud of 1 stick figure pooing on another stick figure...you must be a mature guy(girl probably)..

Yeah, you just did. You said Jefferson will absolutely be the starter if he doesn't get hurt. That is just absurd. If you honestly believe there is no chance whatsoever that Jarrett Lee could become a better quarterback than Jordan Jefferson between December 31st and September, then you really need to rethink your thinking process. Guys get better and worse all the time, and occassionally those changes can be dramatic. There is at least some chance that Jarrett Lee could improve so much that he actually becomes the better QB by September. I don't think it is likely, but what kind of thought process would lead someone to conclude that it is impossible?
Exactly, leaving the POSSIBILITY of JJ getting hurt. Nice try though.
Now, how will we know if JL is much better based on Spring ball? He will NEVER see live heat from the D so how do you judge something like that? You have two clear bodies of work in front of you in JL and JJ. It's really not that hard of decision if you ask me. If you had to win the opening game this year solely based of your memory of the two QBs who would YOU opt to put on the field? Not starting shite, just asking an honest question.

i'm not a Lee-hater..i just think that Jefferson has a better chance of being special
quote:Yes, it DID happen and it DID exist and it DID produce results for last season. Do you really think Jefferson's performance last season is going to count for us this year? How many points are his touchdown passes in the Peach Bowl going to count for against Florida? How many yards will they give us against Bama for his runs against Arkansas last year? Do y'all have a special book of "carryover rules" that give you the point value for previous seasons' performances?
but i know we have to have a clean slate and act like Jefferson's and Lee's experiences last season did not happen or exist

based on what we have all seen, if you were the coach, and washington was tomorrow, who would you have starting at QB for LSU?

Thanks for jacking my question.
Seriously, I'm waiting for an answer too.

that's a great question to ask the Lee-lovers, Doc...they probably will not want to answer that...unfair question

unfair question
not really.
miles has to answer it in a few months, either vocally, or visually.

Arkansas was not very good either.
but they still scored 31 points on the DEFENSE
I know you probably think jefferson looks "like the rest of them" but he doesn't play defense.
quote:
Neither was Georgia tech.
which is why they beat georgia, were ranked at the end of the season, and were favored by a touchdown for that game?
quote:
They could not pass
they passed some, but the defense stepped up.
maybe they weren't as tired in the game from having to be on the field all the time from another QB turning it over?
quote:
and had very little offense against LSU
again, jefferson doesn't play defense.
quote:
JJ played good The first half
oh my god! is anyone reading this!!?!?!
a compliment to JJ by tojo! it's a miracle!
quote:
but in the SEC he will have too play good both halves
and jarrett lee will have to stop throwing off his backfoot, while locking on to a receiver, throwing the ball into triple coverage AGAINST TULANE

Arkansas was his first start EVER and he was a TRUE freshmen. He did not have a year in the system like Lee and outperformed Lee while only in the system a couple months. They did not utilize the entire play book for JJ because he did not grasp it all by then. They did the same for Lee yet Lee still turned the ball over way to many times. Now JJ will have a year under his belt when the season begins and by what his teammates are saying, he is grasping the play book and taking it all in. JJ is the starter/thread

quote:Yes, it's called 'experience'. Ever heard of it? The carryover for both QB's, Jefferson and Lee, is that they have experience with live bullets, and their reactions to that and performance will 'carry over' as you say into next year, making both of them much better QB's. I just happen to believe that Jefferson will be better than Lee from what I've seen. It's an opinion, and people are allowed to have one last time I checked.

Tiger_n_ATL...you hit the nail on the head...some people really want to believe that last year's experience for both players was somehow meaningless and now both should start on a clean slate...almost like Jefferson did not show anything last seaon
