not even close to the same. Faulk was small and slow for an NFL LB. Simon has the height and length that the NFL is looking for. If he can run a good 40, he's gonna go really high.

ETA: Now, if Simon goes and runs a 4.8, then yeah, he's a Trev Faulk 2.0.

The Key in LSU's Case the missing link is the Process or lack there of Bama/Saban work each day to get better or the best they can be.

LSU likely has equal raw material but than don't get the the process or common purpose.

"LSU's defense is expected to also lose junior defensive ends Sam Montgomery and Barkevious Mingo. Defensive tackle Bennie Logan and punter Brad Wing also are considering making the jump to the NFL." LINK

ESPN reporting that Montgomery & Mingo are expected to announce they are leaving and Logan may jump as well.

Simon will have to move to safety. He's too tall for NFL to play CB

Pretty sure not serious.

How does Brandon Browner get away with it?

Was just about to mention Browner. He's 6ft 4 and it's working out for him and Seattle.

I think he has 2 kids to support and that is why he's going now. I could be wrong though.
