I dunno, Ky Ark and AU are pretty awful

Well that's certainly what ULL, ULM and LaTech have done this year.

Doing it one week =/= doing it every week.

Hud was the OC at Miss St 2 years ago.....

Well, that's not much of an experience in competing in the SEC week in and week out.

Miles decided to do the same thing with the no 1 team and what's arguably worse is he had the. At home. So what's your point?

I don't have a problem with what he said. I do think he's a spineless douche for sitting on the ball playing for OT. He was so balsy when they played in Monroe, then he folded like a little bitch at the swamp. Way to rise to the occasion Hud.

Yep, and I called that boneheaded, then (although, I'd argue there are some slight distinctions between the two scenarios -- LSU was at least sitting on A LEAD).

Instead, of calling their coach boneheaded for that move - that clearly cost their team any chance of winning - ULL supporters come on here and get pissed off at LSU fans for calling it boneheaded. I don't get it.

Heard Coach Hud on a local radio show on Monday am. They were talking about the strength in the Sunbelt in the way that everyone was pretty darn good.

He then said "in the SEC you've got Bama, LSU, Florida and then everyone else". I was on highway 90 and had to be careful to not wreck while I was laughing so hard.

Bama, LSU, Florida and "everone else"??? Um Coach Hud, we've got #4, 5, 6, 7, 8 AND 9 in the BCS. Where is the highest rated Sunbelt team?

Not a dig at all on ULL ... I wish them well. I just found his comment laughable.

Since LSU lost to both Bama and Florida, you're lucky he didn't include the Tigers in the "everyone else".

We've heard more ridiculous statements from SEC coach's with crappier records.

His comments were on-target. So far he seems to respect the SEC but doesn't fear them. Which is right where your coach to be.

On target?

So you think that the SEC is not as deep as the frickin Sunbelt?

Good god you have to be kidding me.

LSU would be a 30 point favorite if they played ULL this week FWIW.

That's not what he said, but keep thinking that if you like.

He basically said the gap between the haves and have-nots in the SEC is wider than it is in the Sunbelt. It may or may not be true, but I'm not going to get upset about a coach trying to fire up his fanbase and get more people to his games.

Georgia isn't relevant to his audience. Bama, LSU, and Florida are, for various reasons. His coaches show is not a platform to talk up the SEC, I don't see what the butthurt is all about.

Thanks for explaining. I am incapable of reading. I was not commenting on the coach's quote at all. Quite frankly I couldn't care less about what ULL's coach thinks about the SEC. I was commenting to the poster and more to his comment trying to start shite about how lucky we are that he mentioned LSU as being relevant since we lost to Bama and UF. But thanks again for your keen insight.

The fact that you are in this thread is evidence to the contrary.

No it really isn't. If I had given a shite about what the ULL coach said you might have seen a post from me earlier in the thread commenting on what he said. But thanks again for your comment.

If you didn't give a shite what the coach said you wouldn't have read the thread at all, so what post you responded to is immaterial.
