Unable to find a post on this from yesterday which I just came across and saw he declared for the draft yesterday. Felt his career didn't really take off a OSU and always wondered what could have been if he stuck around at LSU.

2 #1 WR didn’t live up to the hype. Plus we didn’t have an offense to help them out. Him and Malachi

This board won’t care because he isn’t Trey Quinn.

If he couldn’t put up stats in the B12 at Oklahoma St. then he surely wouldn’t have put up better stats staying at LSU

He would have ridden the bech. Hence the reason he transferred.

Lol that’s funny. DJ Chark was our WR1 last year & Russell Gage was WR2.

Quinn, Johnson, Diarse & Jazz really took a toll on our WR group when they transferred

How is that funny? It is the truth. He got buried on the depth chart and instead of staying and competing, he took his entitled 5 star arse to OSU and now is leaving early in hopes of making some coin in the NFL...

Chark was drafted for his speed, not for his polish as a WR. At best he’s a college WR2 but better equipped to play the role of a WR3. He had to be a 1 last year with no real help.

Gage was drafted for special teams & wouldn’t have played most years at WR the last 20 years or so.

Our WRs really were putrid in 17’, all 4 of those guys I mentioned would have been a huge boost

Because Darrell Williams, a 4.72 RB, was LSU’s 2nd leader receiver last year?

He’s a talented kid. He torched Missouri in their bowl game. He had a respectable 53 receptions in ‘18. I’d take him over Giles.

Tyron never really made it at OKlahoma State. Almsot no action in 2017 and was the #2 this year, got beat out for #1 by a sophomore.

That's great for them, but Gage had 285 receiving yards as a senior. We definitely could have used more WR talent.

Chark is better than any of those guys. Dude was dynamite last season with LSU and was a threat to take it to the house any time he touched the ball. Gage was solid, not sure how he compares to those guys, but probably about what and what.

I’m not ragging him , but he was a 1 trick pony running that deep route

A well constructed WRs corps he would be a WR2 or WR3.

Quinn would have led the team in catches, Diarse or Jazz prob second. Chark would have been 3rd.

That doesn’t mean Chark is the worst of the 3, but based on their strengths he’d be 3rd.
