Ya gotta admit, scheming your D to stop our offense shouldn't be that hard of a formula to emulate...simply by watching what Bama and Arky did to us.

they don't have the players on defense that those teams have

I agree. No reason to have any opinions that don't match yours is there?

I expect a close game. LSU played teams this year that had horrible run defenses and they had success against LSU. It's actually quite easy to defend LSU. Stack the box, play your lanes, make sure you put more than one hat on Fournette when you tackle, and make BH beat you with his arm. LSU is good for at least 8 to 10 penalties so be be patient, they will shoot themselves in the foot.

I'm hoping for a 32 - 27 LSU win but there is no doubt that TT can win if LSU doesn't come focused to play for 60 minutes.

Choctaw, do you think Miles is on any type of hot seat headed into the 2016 season? Also, honest question, what do you personally believe that Miles has to do next year to keep his job (assuming he is on the hot seat)? No flame, I am just curious.

We will have to score 40 to win. I don't see our secondary shutting down their passing game

don't think we're going to lose, but as toxic as things are around LSU, Les Miles really needs a good performance in this game.

Yeah, no telling the moral of the team rt now. But you can blame that on the administration for dicking around.

personally?? win the West. but hypothetically we could also go 11-1 and not win the West. hard to fire a coach after an 11-1 season

LSU. Comfortably. Because we have vastly superior talent. A loss to a 7-5 TT team would be an inexcusable embarrassment.

Not Choctaw, but everyone above Les fricked this up. Should have moved on, if not you got to stand behind him and say he will be our coach, not just for the first 10 games, but for the future. I'm interested in what they are telling recruits, well if we don't win the west, you will have a new coach next season. That's playing with fire and could screw up recruiting.

Alleva could have simply stated Les is here for the long haul, but still fire him if he doesn't perform. They didn't have to make it public until they were actually ready with the next guy in place.

I'd take that...provided the loss is to Wisky in the opener or some such.....not frickin Bama again at home.

I think that is probably right. I think if he goes 10-2, regardless of winning the west, he keeps his job. If he goes 9-3, it will depend on how he loses those three. If he goes 8-4, he is gone IMO.

Either LSU wins a really close, uninspired game, or they get blown out. Those are the only two options.

LSU, if it should win, will not blow out TTU or "do what they want" on offense. TTU will treat this like their Super Bowl and will be ready to play. We won't be able to toss dive them to death like we are hoping. As bad as their run D is, anyone can stop what they know is coming.
