Who do we get this weekend? Id like to have Ben McDonald and Dave Neal again. Also, wouldn't mind having Kyle Petersen. But ESPN has a few guys doing college baseball that are not very good.

Todd Walker did a pretty good job at FSU this weekend.

Won't happen for a super, but man I'd like to see Chris Burke and Ben McDonald in the same booth with one of the good PBP guys (of which there are a bunch).

The pitching and hitting insight would be pretty great.

Maybe they could get Will Clark to do a guest spot in the booth this weekend for an inning or two. I would enjoy the frick out of that even if he's a State guy. He's got some incredible stories.

Only if we could assure an on-air fight breaking out between Ben and Will.

They're probably more likely to start sharing game meat recipes than fighting.

Which shocked me because he was terrible as a studio analyst in Hoover.

I've watched Ben grow from his beginning with ESPN. Took a while, but now Ben is absolutely the best "color analyst" in college baseball...with a hell of a good ole boy sense of humor for baseball.

I'm from the day of watching/listening to Dizzy Dean on BW TV in the 50's. He's in the top 4-5 all time baseball humorist, particularly when you consider his young age.

I'd still take Kyle Peterson over him, but they are definitely 1A & 1B at this point.

Agree. Was impressed with how well he handled calling a game between LSU and a team starting his nephew on the bump.

Mississippi State can say what they want, but they'll be more nervous than a cat in a room full of rockin' chairs.

Look for the LSU bats to be hotter than salsa on a sunburn this weekend.
