I used to do a "Tuesday Tiger Trivia" during the football off-season back when I posted on the old Tiger Lair. It seemed to be pretty popular and I suppose it passed the time a bit between football seasons. If y'all like it, I'll do my best to come up with a great trivia question each Tuesday morning around 8am central time (I'm a bit late this morning -- busy day).

Rules / Notes
- NO researching this on the internet (or other sources) - that's no fun!! What are your best guesses?
- its fine to give partial answers
- I have the answers and I will post them as soon as someone gets one part (or more) correct
- feel free to check my answers - I try hard not to, but mistakes/omissions do happen

Tuesday Tiger Trivia for May 19, 2009

When LSU kicks off the 2009 Football Season at Husky Stadium in Seattle, that will become the furthest North AND furthest West that LSU has played a football game.

However, as of today, for football, what is the:
-- furthest North that LSU has played?
-- furthest South that LSU has played?
-- furthest East that LSU has played?
-- furthest West that LSU has played?

BONUS!
-- highest altitude that LSU has played?
-- lowest altitude that LSU has played?

North I would say South Bend

South is Havana

East I would say Columbia

West I would say Los Angeles

The highest altitude would be Boulder, CO and the lowest altitude is NOLA

New orleans
CORRECT DaBeerz

-- lowest altitude -- New Orleans, Louisiana (various trips to Tulane Stadium (~1-2 feet), Louisiana Superdome (~1-2 feet), and a November 14, 1925 trip to Loyola (0-1 feet)

This one was the toughest to decipher a precise answer... so I'll leave it up for argument.

@ Boston College, 1947.

ETA: Could also be Holy Cross, 1939. It's in Boston, also.

Dude, they play further south than College Station every Saturday night they tee it up in Tiger Stadium. Further south, still, when they play Tulane in N.O.

I was thinking out of state for some reason. I was gonna say Mexico City, knowing that they did play some game in a Latin country.

LSU's 1965 freshman football team played another university's freshman team ( it might have been Tulane or a Texas school ) in an exhibition game
in Mexico City !

CORRECT Godfather1

-- furthest East -- Chestnut Hill, MA (Alumni Stadium) on October 17, 1947 vs. Boston College (LSU 14 BC 13)

Good job on knowing the years played too... unless you researched your answer, which is against the rules... in that case...
