Tell all that to the 2004 Auburn Tigers.

And the path to Atlanta runs through the team from Tuscaloosa. Even the "best" QB in the SEC couldn't beat them in his home stadium.

why do you think he's not doing anything?

The three straight games under 100 yards led me to believe nothing has really been fixed/done in our passing game.

Evil Twin,

I agree exactly with you. I have always tried to be very positive in my posts but this latest frustrating situation has gotten the best of me.

I see how great the D and ST´s are, how improved the OL and running game is, how many play makers we have on O.

Just seems like we are squandering a golden opportunity which doesnt come around too often. You got to make them count when you get them.

IMHO - we are only 1 player from being a true contender for the NC and that is why the frustration has been so high for me as well as many, many other true, loyal Tiger fans.

But I am going to try and be more positive from this point on.

The negativity towards the offense would not be as bad in Baton Rouge if we didnt all realize how special this team could be?

Agreed. In addition, if people would spend the time to scrutinize the feedback they would see exactly that. People jump on here or read one article, listen to one radio show and jump to the conclusion that the fans hate LSU, or the team or the QB.

Does every post have to start with .. " I love LSU and I support our team but the following makes me concerned.... " ?

The very fact that fans spend their emotional capital expressing their concerns over QB play, playcalling, etc shows the passion and the level of commitment they have to the program.

It's when you open a new thread on TD and you don't get a response for an hour, a day or a week that you need to be concerned about the fanbase turning away from the program.

Now, everyone together...

:beatdeadhorse: Every team is as good as it's weakest link. Unfortuanately for us it's our QB position. Trust me, Miles and team want it fixed more then all of us combined.

HAVE YOU SEEN HOW BAD WE ARE IN RELATION TO ALL OF FBS????

Let's see, I don't know about "WE!", but LSU is ranked 34th natioanlly in rushing, Ridley is ranked 21st nationally in rushing, and LSU is tied for 34th in sacks allowed.

The problem is NOT with the offense. The problem is with the passing game.

I think you're identifying a bit too much with the team, try to gain your self-worth through other, more personal means.

Who are you, Poor fricking Richard?

Just because it sounds good or you've heard it somewhere before doesn't mean it's correct.

On a football team you can compensate for weaknesses with strengths.

That's why it's called a TEAM.

In a chain, you cannot compensate for weak links, if one fails, the integrity of the chain fails.

That's why it's called a CHAIN.

I did judge, and if you look at the numbers I provided, they come from the NCAA website on ALL stats.

You linked to the NCAA website for PASSING stats. You actually support my point with your link.

The problem is not with all of the offense, the problem is with the passing game - as your link clearly shows.

Apparently you haven't been watching as the offense takes the field in the 4th quarter of football games this season, they actually pick up 1st downs running the ball to salt the game away.

If you finish 10-2, you didn't have a 12-0 team, did you?
