The more I see and hear Troy Football Coach Neal Brown after his historic (don't call it an upset) win over LSU, the more impressed I am.

Young. Bright. Charismatic. Articulate. The guy is a great both on and off the field. He has a solid grasp of the X's & O's of football as well as the good strategic vision that many ordinary Coaches lack.

Too bad Coach O isn't going anywhere (buyouts & stuff) for a couple of years. LSU is going to miss out on this guy as I'm sure a top tier program will snatch him up after this season.

I agree they do not require the services of Thomas Ritter.
I'd like Troy more if they knocked off Alabama. (Bama will still get into the playoff and it would enhance Troy monitarily.)

I'd rather not hire a coach based on some reactionary feeling. Thats why we have the current shithead.

He beat us, let's give him an 8 year 60 million dollar contact with an 18 million dollar buyout

He out coached Ed Orgeron. What a great accomplishment. 2/3 of coaches who play him can say that.

Wasn’t he the Troy OC in 2008?

Lets not get ahead of ourselves. He beat O. That's like beating a one legged man in a foot race.

Yes and he almost beat LSU that year. Some say his head coach got too conservative after Troy ran up a big lead.

Dude had Troy at 10-3 last year and will be better than that this year. He'll be a big time coach soon based on facts, not reactions.

Still there was a wide discrepancy in talent...

You're only noticing him as a prospect because he beat LSU. Is he a good coach? At his current position yes but who knows how that translates here. If he can bring that to a mid-major then yeah he would warrant some consideration. But as of right now this is definitely reactionary.

Troy had Clemson beat in 2016 until a fumble call was mysteriously changed. The guy is no flash in the pan.

Troy did not play conservative in the 2008 LSU game. They threw the ball 72 times that night.
