Kubiak calling it like he sees it

-- Trindon Holliday Expected to Earn WR Job to Stick --
Mon Jun 7, 2010 --from FFMastermind.com

PSX reports Houston Texans rookie WR/KR Trindon Holliday (5-5, 160) has to learn to play receiver to make the team as a return specialist. HC Gary Kubiak wasn't happy with his rookie after an OTA. "He is what we thought he was as far as his talent, but in this league, he's going to have to play wide receiver, so he's got a long, long way to go," Kubiak said. "He's way behind. He's got a long way to go to prove to this team that he knows what the hell he's doing. It's probably not a good day to ask me that question." The Texans have talent and depth at wide receiver. WR Dorin Dickerson, a seventh-round pick, is also trying to make the team at that position. "I don't know how much offense he (Holliday) played (LSU) from the standpoint of what was expected of him," Kubiak said. "There are not many specialists in this business. You'd better know what you're doing across the board. So he's getting plenty of reps as a wide receiver."

LOL, in defense of Miles, Trindon was mostly a KR/RB last year no?

Miles was an idiot for not using him as a WR. If all he did was run go routes, the guy would have opened up the center of the field for the quaterbacks to throw in. He was seldom effective as a RB.

How do you draft a guy who only played like 5 plays a game outside of special teams and then wonder why he doesn't know how to play WR at the professional level?
