Quinn is not the problem. He just needs a competent QB to get him the ball.

Really though Quinn would have more of impact, but he had his moments good and bad. If he could become the "possesion" type wr he can be ala Eric Martin, Dupree et al will really shine in next few years. Thought Dickson should have got thrown to more, but see he won "unsung hero" award so guess he did more than the average fan (like me) sees. His brother was one of nicest most respetful players I ever had the chance to meet (briefly).

he did look VERY little out there. Some say it doesn't matter, but I'm not in that camp. I wish him the best.

We complete 8 passes a game. Damn, how many catches can a man make.

Knowing Trey, he'll be working his tail off this offseason. He blames himself for the Bama game and will do everything to ensure he never performs like that again. Even since pee wee football, I've never seen him drop two passes back to back like that. Add in the fact that he didn't really get a chance to redeem himself and it's really eating at him inside. Just the kind of guy he is. If we use him correctly by getting him in space, allowing him to run after the catch, and the occasional double move downfield, we will see what he's capable of. The defensive backs say he's the hardest receiver on the team to cover since Odell for a reason

we decided to throw three straight passes to him over the middle while cold

What the hell does that mean?

He dropped clearly easy-catch passes and hurt us significantly vs Bama.

I love Quinn but he woulda had the bench for awhile like he should have. And I think he's a mature enough that he'd agree.

Quinn will be a great tiger. Adam Henry is a great coach that will continue to help him adjust and progress throughout his career. Past WR's praise him and we have a boatload of talent now and hopefully some more in this recruiting class to see what Jarvis and Odell are talking about working with Henry.

He's shown this so much. Do you even watch the games?

Watching the games LSU played this year that would be Diarse by a lot.

The guy must be really good, I remember reading a spring report where it said the WR's had a rough day and it said THAT EVEN TREY QUINN DROPPED ONE, now to single it out how that was a rarity says something bout this young man. So It might have been a SHOCK DROP that the ball was actually catchable by our so called QB.

I bet Quinn kicking himself in the butt for not going to Clemson that had a decent QB. Quinn was recruited before Artavis Scott and Scott had 68 receptions for 851 and 7 TD's. Quinn had 17-193 0 TD's. Hopefully next year will be better.

I am sure this eats at him a little. He passed on many opportunities to play in more receiver friendly offenses to come to LSU, knowing we are a run first offense. He committed BEFORE his senior year, took one official visit to LSU, and stood by his committment. Quietly goes about his business and busts his butt every day in practice, plays hurt, and yet we find ways to slam this guy for being a Tiger?

As far as other posts, yes, he will be the first to tell you that he expects to catch everything in his viscinty, and he will be the LAST to tell you that his QB has ANYTHING to do with it. That is the kind of person he is.

He is also one of the most color blind people I have ever met, so I am sure he appreciates all of you reminding him of his skin color (NOT). It is obvious where alot of the hate comments about him comes from, and that sucks because anybody that has ever played with him will tell you that he treats everybody the same, regardless of race, religion, or color. Some of his very best friends are African American and they would be upset if they were to waste their time reading this message board. I am also sure he appreciates alot of you dwelling on one particular game (NOT).

Short arms over the middle? HA! There are some cowards on this board, cowards. No other word. Few have taken hits like he did in the Auburn game, only to return later in the game and make a catch. He caught the ball just fine over the middle against Ole Miss and TAMU. I do not know of too many people that came right out of high school, stepped into the SEC at 18 years old, started the first game, and showed the courage he has to make plays over the middle. The other throws we made this year for the most part were to Dural and Dupre were all along the sideline. We have avoided the middle of the field for the most part except for some throws to him.

He will be fine, hopefully he gets the chance to show what he can do after the catch and in space, as those opportunities have yet to present themselves.

Jeez he's just a true freshman. He will get better. OBJ and Juice had their fair of drops when they were youngsters.
