Over 200yds 4tds middle of the third quarter. Look great tonight!

In 56 career games, Trey Holly has rushed 1019 times for 8,707 yards for an average of 8.5 yards per carry and 119 career touchdowns. Holly now holds the state rushing yards record and has averaged 156 yards per game over his career. Holly needs 35 touchdowns to break Nick Brossett’s career rushing TD mark. In his 4 year high school career, Holly has 7,858 yards and needs 803 to break Kenny Hilliard’s 4 year state record. Holly needs 1,293 the rest of this season to reach the 10,000 yard mark. ????

Brosette was a 1000 yard rusher so I’m good with it

GREAT observant question...Glad you've been keeping up! The LSU commit broke the all-time state rushing record for total rushing yards. It's kind of a big accomplishment, unless you're one to post a question quickly from the hip without considering how stupid it is. Or maybe you did know.

Maybe if the actual record that was broken was in the title it would be more obvious. You don’t have to be a dick.

For those curious it was 8,704.
And the OP is talking about the all-time Louisiana high school career rushing record.

You're getting a hardnosed runner with great hands, great vision, cutting ability and plenty of speed.

If I’m not mistaken, Holly did it in 4 years, Brossette did it in 5 (started varsity as an 8th grader).

First thought was Lebrandon Toefield - Independance? Maybe not, I’m old…

Brossette, and I think Kenny Hilliard before him. Could be wrong though.

No Trey rushed for around 900yds as an 8th grader.

By the end of the season he'll have enough yards that he would have held the record in 4 years.

So the tigers are getting a great back either way….

The LSU commit dethroned former LSU Tiger Nick Brossette who had established the 8,704-yard record in 2014 while at University High (2010-2014).

If you watched a game live, you will know LSU is getting a stud. Game changer. Has everything you want in a RB. He will vie for playing time early. 100%

Should have known. Thanks for the info. Watched Holly his freshman year and knew he would be special. Didn’t expect he would break the all time record, but he is a freak show. Also got the opportunity to see Jeremy Hill and Kenny Hilliard play each other in the playoffs at Redemptorist. Two of the greatest LHSAA backs on the field at once. One of the craziest games/finishes I have ever seen.

No. CEH was elite and among the best ever. Brossette was a good, but forgettable back.

Of course this is controversial amongst you jock sniffing boomers on this board
