Were there ever 2 guys that dominant in one position group at the same time in LSU history? Started going to games at 4 years old in 1994 and the only guys I can think of that compare were Lavalais and Spears a year later on the DLine.

Mathieu won the Bedbarik Award and Claiborne won the Thorpe award in the same year. And Both were consensus all-Americans at the CB position.

So I would say them

Don't forget Kyle Williams along with Marcus Spears all day!

Bradie James and Trev Faulk were the beginning of a great LSU defense though.

James does not get talked about on here like he should. Has 2nd most tackles in LSU history behind Al Richardson. Great leader who commited before the program turned it around. Just an all around stud football player. James Gang was legit.
