Trendon Watford

For those of you who don't know much about Watford.

He goes to the high school I went to for my first three years. I live like 10 minutes from the school so I have watched a good bit of him over the last 4 years. He's not a scorer. This kid is a baller. In my opinion, this kid is the best player in the class, and honestly its not even close. He's not super athletic and his lateral quickness is a little slow. He's got an incredible handle for being 6'9 and often would bring the ball up when defenses would bring pressure. This is an important distinction because on Mtn brooks team there is a small D1 point guard and a kid that is committed to Harvard for football and will most likely play basketball there too.
Watford has an unbelievable IQ and plays sooo hard. He does not seem to ever take plays off. He's a solid shooter that will get better and he has shot the ball much better over the last two years. He consistently outplays players who are rated higher than him and essentially put the team on his back and dropped 38 when he had to score. This is a kid that will do everything you need him to do. If you need 12 rebounds he's got you. If you need 25 points he can do it. I'm expecting this kid to be a lottery pick. I also think he will have a much better college career than Naz Reid. Also, Watfords passing game is incredible. He passes out of the post well too. Going to love seeing him in the purple and gold

I posted this in the LSU recruiting section earlier. From what I've heard and gathered myself I'm very confident this kid ends up at LSU



Somebody in the other thread had asked me what I think about Watford coming to LSU and this is what I responded

Precious Anchiuwa supposedly committed to Memphis last night. He still is 18 so you never know, but I feel confident he's an LSU tiger.
