You lied to me! I saw a decent amount of improvement from both QBs today. I saw them work through their progressions and hit receivers in stride. It wasn't a perfect outing for either QB, but I feel like they're only going to get better between now and fall camp. WTF tRant? I thought y'all knew football better than anybody else. I feel cheated.

Just remember that we haven't played a game yet. I will wait to the second game to make a statement.

You either make a statement now or not at all. It's the way of the rant.

Unfortunately, this is accurate. I'll eat my words if they can sling it in a game.

They had green jerseys on for Christ's sake. Harris looked like a world beater last spring game as well. What did that say for his season? Apparently Jennings always looks good in practice.

Practice or not, this is the first time I've seen these guys throw for 65%. Maybe Harris did it during garbage time last year, but not against a defense that was not playing prevent. Like another poster wrote, last year we couldn't do it against air.

Do you have specific examples of people saying they couldnt improve? Or did you just make that up so you could make a stupid thread?

Also, its fricking practice.

You and I have different definitions of "hitting in stride".

AJ just doesn't do it. Even the widest open guys routinely have to wait on a late thrown ball.

I'm not saying he hasn't improved on reading or whatever, he couldn't get worse...but there is still something wrong with his timing and accuracy in a way that slows the receivers.

Jennings showed many flaws and limitations last season. Some of the main ones were:
- indecision
- confusion/hesitancy
- lack of confidence
- lack of accuracy
- lack of timing
- locked onto a single receiver
- inability to go through progressions
- unwillingness to throw with conviction (too many lobs)

And every single one of these can be addressed/improved through coaching and practice. It is up to him how much he can improve in these areas - to make himself into a better overall QB.

It's true he can't improve his arm strength - but that isn't a big deal anyway. His arm is strong enough to complete deep passes - he just needs to relax and sling it on the intermediate routes.

nO they were talking about the spring game, not about practice. All 3 QB's looked good. Both returning QB's have greatly improved. QB position has been solidified and is now a position of strength (as are the RB's) on this team.

wide open recievers are by far the hardest to "hitting in stride"

In fact, I would go so far as to say "relaxing" is the #1 thing he needs to do. He played last season like he felt the weight of the world on every single pass. He just needs to exhale and not play like he has a stick up his butt.

Yes, we are, but after last year's spring game, tRant told us that Jennings was awful and dissected everything he did during that game. Maybe they were right for he was a bit below average during the season.

Now, he's improved during this spring game, it's "just practice" and means nothing?
