LSU loses Lange after he was pitching well. Now, they likely will play a double header on Saturday. It was a tough call to pitch Lange tonight because if he pitched on Saturday, he may not be available until Friday. I hope this doesn't cost LSU a shot at A Super Regional or even Regional

LSU will host a regional no worries there. Now hosting a Super Regional there is still a chance. Geaux Tigers

They will likely get a regional. I am just down about the great opportunity lost tonight due to the damn weather!! An opening game win would have been huge.

That's the bad thing about baseball, you are hostage to the damn weather. The only way they wouldn't be us if there were a roof on Alex Box Stadium. And that isn't realistic.

Lange should be good to go if we resume tonight or tomorrow - he basically threw a bullpen.

They wouldn't start a pitcher the day after he threw a bullpen

Bad break that parts of Baton Rouge were UNTOUCHED by the early pop up storm. Meanwhile Alex Box got hammered.

Also tons and tons of lightening in this storm. Don't they have to wait like an hour after the last lightening strike?

It's not ideal but they can't treat these guys like they're so fragile.

It's not treating them like they are fragile it's treating them like they are supposed to be. Yea he only threw 34 game pitches but what about that he warmed up before the game and threw pitches in the bullpen before the game then threw pitches in between innings. Those add up to a lot more than just throwing a normal bullpen. Plus 34 pitches in a game especially against the number one team in the country is not like throwing a normal bullpen. Sit Lange until next week. Could pitch him in game 1 of the SEC tournament and he will get extra rest for the regional.

Or throw him tomorrow and rest him for the tournament. Winning 2 of these 3 games is more important than the SECt

Not messing with Alex's arm is more important than anything

You guys do realize this means Shore can't pitch anymore too right? Winning the rest of this game just got easier. If it were me I would go Poche tomorrow and them Smith game 1 Saturday then best available game 2.
