From the players mouthing off during the week, to the stupid episode before the game even started, then the obvious lack of focus by the players, and last but damn sure not least the lack of preparation & leadership by the coaching staff, this was a TOTAL FAILURE.

The coaching staff should have made it very clear to these players that there was no room to focus on thugging it up or running your mouth or taunting Florida players. It absolutely looked fricking juvenile out there and that there was no real head man in charge.

Can you imagine a Saban allowing his players to have Florida players get in their heads like that?

IMO, there was a total lack of focus in this game which led to NUMEROUS errors, penalties and turnovers.

When you have LF out there involved in pregame bullcrap it is very indicative of the mindset of the team. He is a team leader if not THE team leader and he was right out there in the middle of the dumbass shite prior to kickoff.

Some of you will automaticly jump to LF's defense but people that was not leadership. He should have just laughed it all off.

The coaches had lost control of this team and its' focus well before kickoff and gameday. Composure should have been stressed and been demanded all week and obviously it wasn't.

Coaching isn't all X's & O's. Much of it is teaching players how to tune out "the noise". Our staff failed in both departments and it led to the pathetic performance we witnessed yesterday.

"O" is not the guy. I don't know if Herman or Jimbo is either but I do know that LSU has had all damn year to get a top notch staff and head coach in here. It is time to stop dicking around and get a new coach named and give him complete control over staff. The sooner the damn better and let chips fall where they may.

Real leadership would have been telling LF he wasn't playing. He looked injured and slow but was in most of 3rd quarter. Really hurt us as Guice was killing it until then. Yes we imploded at the end but 7 points at any time prior to that would have changed the whole game. Really awful coaching decisions the whole game.

Lol. Move away from the ledge. You think a coach is going to quit on his team in the middle of the season? Lol

Agreed. What we saw was CEO poor preparations......and exactly why he shouldn't be hired.

Yes, guice did change the whole game when he fumbled, precenting us from going up 14-3...he then sealed the loss by going the wrong way. He doesn't get all the credit though as donte is responsible for a 20 point swing

I actually posted this same thing on another thread on CCboard but it applies here.

I would be shocked if he's hired after that. Not only is he not qualified - he's not up to the challenge. He has looked like a deer in the headlights against UF and Bama. He's also allowed the players to run their mouths about UF and then they couldn't back it up and played like shite.

And the worst of all IMO- is your star player not being ready to play but going out and getting into a scuffle with a coach from another team? And then the player coming in and deciding he wants to dress and play? and then you give him multiple carries....including forcing carries to him down near the goal line and get no points?

If the powers that be were ever on the fence then that should have shown them all they needed to know. To quote Rabalais' article "The inmates, as well-intentioned as they may be, can’t run the asylum. Kudos to Coach O, but it appears it’s going to be someone else’s asylum to run."

If this is what we look like after 6 weeks of O - what in the world would the attitude and mindset be with a year or two of him and someone like Kiffin - the O supporters dream OC?

We should have been up 21 at halftime but had piss poor play calling. Feel free to blame Giuce but this loss is on the coaches.

Red zone execution and Special Teams. That's all about coaching.

Why does BDP still have a job at LSU? He has to be the worst ST coach in the country. I understand we were stuck with the offensive staff that Les had in place, but surely we could find one person in this large country who can get STs to play well in big games.
