I choose the offense that utilizes the jet sweep as a diversion and runs dives off of it. The jet sweep is used to freeze linebackers and open running lanes.

Better choose getting used to the jet sweep cause that's what Canada bases his offense around

people act like the toss dive was some awful play - it was a really effective play. biggest complaint i saw made on this board was generally it made people feel icky because the running back might drop the ball. i think i only saw one fumble by LSU ever on a toss dive.

ETA: Guice would have scored against UF if they'd run a toss dive.

I choose the one that is actually used in the context of a diverse and unpredictable offense. Merely picking one, without any context, is silly.

The toss dive, by itself, isn't a horrible play (although I'd prefer a hand-off, for several reasons). But in Les/Cam's offense, it was predictable and defenses were expecting it. That's more a problem with the offensive game-plan and play-calling, rather than the actual play itself.

Question:
If we choose one is a fake allowed to be run from that same play?

But I don't have to choose one. And that's the point, being multiple in both formations and in play selection.

All it takes is one time for Drake or Chark to take one to the house and the defense will begin to freeze. Give Guice a lane and let him eat.

Toss dive was not the problem. The problem was they ran it too much. Toss dive can be an effective play with the right back with good cutting ability and vision (Hill, Ridley, Fournette, Guice). The fact that it was so effective when it was ran so predictably proves how good of a play it actually was.

you speak in riddles, you just explained that the play was too effective to be run often
