Just saying that more people should be discussing a game that is a huge deal tomorrow instead of one spot in a batting order in a sport that isn't nearly as relevant nationally and is in a much less important part of the season. Just a simple message.

I didn't say 100% of threads. I said at least 80%

It's sad that you have to try and put down baseball to prop up basketball. No need for it to be part of your "message". It distracts from the huge deal that the game is and counterproductive from what you claim your post is about.

I didn't want to be the one to bring it up, but this thread seems familiar...

I have no problem with baseball. I have not put it down. Only 2 things I have said about it are:

1. Basketball is much more relevant nationally - Which can be proven with television ratings, television coverage, national radio coverage, number of household names of coaches, players, etc..., etc...

2. Basketball is in a much more important time of the season - The NCAA Tournament is definitely more important than just starting SEC Play.

do you disagree with either of these?

you do realize its possible to talk about both right? Im not sure you know, but LSU brings in a pretty large baseball crowd and they have a very high rank so dont get your panties twisted.

If Lsu loses to NC ST, which is 50/50 at best, no doubt people here would be on JJ and the team. If LSU wins this game and Loses to 1 seed Villanova, I don't see how anyone could complain except idiots....some will. If LSU wins two somehow( I doubt) it is all bonus from there in my opinion.

I think the baseball discussion is based on the fact that LSU could realistically be the NC.

The softball and gymnastics teams are NC caliber teams as well.

Football is simply the LSU fans most important sport by far.

And how are either of those things relevant to the topics here? LSU fans talk about what they want to talk about national relevance and prominence be damned.

You're obsessed with the baseball talk for some reason. I don't know why you're such a bitch about it, but here we are.

Maybe there are more threads because there was a baseball game last night? Or that there's another one tomorrow? That couldn't be the reason.

Oh and in the last few weeks we beat UF, Ole Miss, Arky( on the road without Mickey). We are 4-2 since February 21.

Glad you've mastered the art of selective memory.
I'm thrilled we got in but let's not kid ourselves into thinking this team is firing on all cylinders.

Does it help the basketball team if we discuss it more?
Do they read the rant and take notes?

Maybe that's why they lost some games they shouldn't have.

Why do people have to tell others what we can and can't discuss.

I thought this was the Tiger Rant, not the Tiger Basketball Rant? As long as it is the Tiger Rant, I will talk about any LSU sport when and where I want, and there's nothing you can do or say to convince me otherwise. Who are you to judge? Just shut up and let people talk about whatever LSU sport they want on this board.

What does that have to do with anything? This is an LSU message board. And at LSU baseball has been more popular than basketball for 20 years.

It is early in the season and basketball is a bigger sport nationally, and it is postseason basketball. Spring football is kicking, but basketball is a bigger deal right now.
