Makes it a lot cheaper to recruit when you don't have far to travel

Which makes what Georgia spends on recruiting wild. They could field a great team by only recruiting Georgia and north Florida.

I’m guessing in this budget the support staff that only focus on recruiting salaries count towards it.

Since Kirby was hired, UGA made it a point to outspend everyone in recruiting, especially ALA. ROI has paid off which is why they've won Back 2 Back NC's and King of the SEC. Poor Ol' Aggy

Keep in mind high school class was largely intact when Kelly arrived
He didn't have to recruit the high school class, he went after transfers more than anything and those players likely came to LSU

UGA has to pay those strip club bills

Yet they don't limit themselves to those areas and that's why they've won 2 consecutive titles and haven't had a good QB/offense yet. If LSU wants to be on that level then we need to take notes and stop limiting ourselves.
And this thing doesn't even include NIL. Imagine where we would rank if that were included. Betting some would have questions. The difference in being competitive some of the time and all of the time.

Spending that much money isn't just about reach. They must be doing a lot of private aircraft/helicopter stuff.

I believe we had some recruiting restrictions levied so that may be a factor.

But it sounds to me that we're being far more efficient if we're spending so much less but still pulling in top 5 classes

Lowest cost per roster talent yield
(CPTY)

I’m not a statistician, but CPTY should be a thing.

Well done, LSU!

LSU is the only school to win a national championship in the last 8 years and not be in the top 3 in spending.

UGA last year spent $4.5 million vs 700K spent by LSU. Only team in the SEC to spend less on recruiting was Miss. State.

Georgia has a better bag man than any other college cept jimbo a&m. They just don't know what to do with the talent.

Of course you need a good NiL program but with the lax ncaa right now you need a great bag man...a slenderman if you will. Play the game as presented to you. The Dawgs are.

I guess you mean A&M doesn’t know what to do with the talent?

LSU had self imposed recruiting restrictions placed on themselves last year, thus the low recruiting expenses. Expect those expenses to go up quite a bit this year.
