People love to put Jarvis over Odell because of personality. I think Jarvis is a better OVERALL receiver but as far as big play ability and specifically 2013 Odell was far and away more impactful.

Dorsey was better and healthier in 2006.

Not bad. Lots of Miles players.

Charles Alexander should be #1 given the context and the fact he played less games.

You don't think at least 1 of Al Richardson's seasons when he got like 4000 tackles or whatever belongs up there?
Any of Casanova's 3 (2 consensus) All American seasons?
(Edited: I missed Dorsey the first time around.)
Dorsey and Mathieu are not the only great defensive players LSU ever produced.

Cannon '58 & '59 should be #1 & 2 respectively.
He was what we all hoped Fournette would be, clearly the best player on either side of the ball on the best team in the country, a nationally decorated undefeated champion in '58. He came 1 pt shy of a repeat in'59 (failed 2pt in 14-13 loss to TN) but had to settle for the Heisman and #1 NFL pick instead.
No other LSU player can claim better than either of these as a single-season resume.
Also of note, his '58 season resulted in TRIPLING season ticket sales. In that season, he basically created the modern monster that is LSU football.

What makes this more amazing is Saban didnt open things up until about halfway through the season.

Also, he did get invited to New York.
I wouldn't let that one statement alone be your deciding factor in making him #1.
Josh Reed's season was epic.

Jarvis was an absolutely BEAST as a receiver and on special teams.
