Are we actually on SECN ? What's with the "wildcard game" moniker?

Not sure what you're talking about but I know that on LSUsports.net it says SEC Network at 6

I'll be driving toward Gulf Shores. (not so subtle brag) On which stations can I listen to the game past BR to Slidell and through Mobile?
I have XM
TIA

ETA: Thanks everyone. I'm leaving laffy at 6 so hopefully we are up 10 when I reach WWLs listening range.

Your best bet may be downloading the LSU sports app and listening on there through an aux cable. If it was football it would be a lot easier to pick it up somewhere on XM or WWL

Good ole WWL. I have listened to LSU football in Montana and Wyoming on WWL, clearly a couple of decades ago. Now I just turn on a TV or computer.

Used to listen to baseball games on WWL from gulf shores all the time as a wee lad. Not sure how often they carry baseball anymore

im not exactly sure what it means but on one day last weekend i remember seeing that on the arkansas vandy game that was playing on sec network maybe in place of the softball tournament that was originally scheduled in that slot. i think it might be picked as a backup for a rainout or something on another channel. for instance if the UF UK game on espn gets rained out we might get bumped to espn. im not sure just a guess

Fair enough. I seem to remember friends of mine in Nola having trouble finding games on the radio earlier in the season but I have no first-hand knowledge

In Houston, once it gets dark I can pick up the games on 870AM out of New Orleans and 1130AM out of Shreveport. If I start to lose the signal on one I just switch to the other - have them saved as favorites.

My truck has a shitty antenna and it is very rare that I can't get at least one of the stations at any given time. Again, it has to be dark - night time - or I can't get either. During the day 1130 is a Mexican music station, it makes me hungry.

Yes. This game was originally scheduled to only be on SECN+, but it bumped whatever game was supposed to be on SECN due to the ramifications.

Wildcard game was something done similar to Week 14-17 in the NFL, that any game would be expanded or moved to primetime, in this case, it was moved to a TV channel rather than streaming channel. that's my only guess.

When the schedule was first revealed back in what may have been January the Wildcard slot was placed on the schedule for them to be able to televise what they felt like was the most important game of the weekend.

Similar to the NFL's flex schedule...

No doubt that LSU/MSU is that series...

My schedule shows that they will show UK/UF at 4am(replay) so that game may show up on the SEC Alt network that several cable channels have.

Friday they show the UK/UF game at 6pm.

Saturday---11am Ark @ A&M
2pm UGA @ USC (Ouch)

The UF/UK game is on ESPN tonight. LSU/MST is on SEC TV network. Both games are on TV at 6:00 pm tonight.

Directv guide has both games listed as "SEC Tournament Wildcard"
