They are friends. He said at the postgame he has known him his entire life. Played on some of tge same teams together in Tampa. Said he checked on him after tge game to make sure he was okay.

No you can’t. But, I felt Tanks was snapping out of a short term slump or uncharacteristic 6-7 at bats. He seemed dangerous to me and I didn’t know the backstory. Tough spot for that pitcher!

I like these stories about how guys grew up playing against each other and they take it to the college and pro levels. Kinda like how Jayden Daniels has been going against Bryce Young since they were kids and always came out on top.
