We are not hiring anybody right now. Let everyone build their resume's and see who is actually available/best candidate. I am not a 100% sold on him but the fact that this board goes full retard and knee jerk reacts to each and every bit of news is a bit tiresome.

Sure, why would LSU be interested in the consensus best coaching prospect in the country?

Right, even Saban had ugly losses in his first HC gig.

The Navy loss was not a bad loss, they have a crazy home streak going and are a ranked team now.. so that was a tough road loss.. and Houston even with the miscues nearly pulled it out.. it's pretty hard for them to go undefeated with their level of talent. The loss today was bad, but they yet again had turnovers.. No excuses though.. bad loss today.. but I would still take an offensive genius like Herman at LSU who has shown what he can do with top talent versus elite defenses. I believe LSU can get top notch DC's more so than OC's, but we shall see.

We still need to see how we do versus great defenses.. because I feel like CEO would keep the same staff IMO.. and I really prefer a HC that is either an OC genius or DC genius.. so when coordinators do leave.. you still don't have to worry about that side of the ball.. Like Urban on offense and Saban on defense..

That's just my preference though.

But yeah, I believe LSU has the talent while established that any above avg coach can have success.

They continue to prove this true.

WTF? Do you even watch CFB?

no, he doesn't watch ball or know jack shite about it like many rantards. He has proven that by his posts.

and yes even Urban has bad losses, he had one this year just now and one last season at home..

No real perfect coach, but there are some genius minds out there and I believe Herman is one. Just my opinion though.

Not sure why anyone wouldn't want Fisher.. and he has had bad losses, but I don't see how he is Miles 2.0 whatsoever. He has had a heisman QB.. and then featured Cook.. Seems very balanced.. He has also shown to get a talented team back to elite quick. He's proven and probably would stay a while.

You dont make a decision about who will be the LSU coach for the next decade based on a limited sample of three or four games. Unless you are a moron.

All I know from the Herman or bust crowd is you can't judge him off the last three games but you can only judge Ed O by his tenure at Ole Miss

i'm not in the "Herman or bust" group, but this is not even close to accurate.

literally everyone has said not to judge either by only the last 3 games.

Herman's teams has had 3 bad games.
Orgeron's team has played 3 really really good games.

Herman has beat teams with more talent than him on more than one occasion already.

Last night's win will be the 2nd of O's entire coaching career against a team that can even remotely considered to be a good ball club.

and before anyone throws out USC in '13, Kiffin won more games against 8+ win teams the first 6 games that year than O did in the last 8 games.
O coached against 3 teams with a pulse that season and went 1-2.

I'm not gonna lie, this kinda creeps me out. It's a coach and his players. Kissing multiple people regardless of gender is bizarre.

Then my post doesn't apply to you, and your opinion is irrelevant. But my post is exactly the sentiment of the Herman or bust crowd, of which you are no part of as stated.

This really isn't true; Houston has many natural advantages that makes it a very attractive job for coaches look for major offers including location, competition, recruiting base. Houston was well on the map before Herman.

I want coach O to be the next head coach. Everyone talked about his failure at Ole Miss, but that failure, will be his biggest strength. He won't make the same mistakes twice.

Not to knock Herman, but Houston was not a dumpster fire when he took over. The foundation had already been built under Briles and Sumlin. His success has been impressive, but Houston is very fertile recruiting ground. That's why we go there often searching out players.

Every great coach loses games.

Nick Saban lost games before at Mich State, while at LSU, and since at Bama including ULM. No matter how down Bama was in 2007 I promise you ULM was not the more talented team.

Bear Bryant was not always Bear, Urban has bad losses, so did Tressel, so does everybody.
Difference is, those losses came while they were building. Once they were established, they might lose an isolated game close, but never slupmped like we're seeing here.

I'm not going to lie. The one concern to always have with new offensive gurus is, what happens when other teams have seen his stuff fit a bit?

It's concerning that an SMU stoned him.
