“When Jarrett Lee came in, he was driving the offense down the field, getting the ball to Terrance Toliver,” cornerback Patrick Peterson said.
“You saw what happened when he came into the game,” said Toliver, who had his best receiving game of the season thanks to Lee. “When Jarrett came in, he did a great job. It went pretty well.”

I think its gonna be about 75-25 in terms of playing time for Lee compared to Jefferson. Lets hope so at least.

Has to be. Florida isn't going to let Jefferson run. His one "glorious" play he didn't get touched. It was an anomaly.

Yeah JJ's run was a busted defense by Tenn. Not a great play by Jefferson.

It was nice to see that TD, but I was a little pissed b/c I felt like that would give Jefferson more playing time.

He didn't get touched because he left the Tennesse's Safety's jock on the 40yd line.

25 too many for JJ.

It's so obvious who they want to play. Les you don't have to listen to the fans, but please listen to your players.

Hell just look at the stats from the game...best passing game all year.
Lee obviously has the team behind him. The fans aren't the only ones who have clearly given up on JJ.

There was also a quote by Randle earlier saying that when Lee is in the game they know the ball is either going to be handed off to Ridley or passed to Tolliver.
But with JJ it's more of a mixed bag.
Weird.

Not true at all.
It was a very good scheme, that was very well executed.

No it wasn't a bust.

I agree. That first play was more about Tenn screwing up than it was JJ making a good play. I dont believe anything close to that will happen against UF or any of the other SEC opponents we have left to face. We somehow have to establish a passing game and JL is the only one capable.

-- Where is this quote from? With Lee in the game Randle got the ball more than Tolliver. Aside from the last drive

There's no reason the entire offense wouldn't be more supportive of Lee playing than Jefferson.
JJ takes away carries from the RBs.
Makes it harder for the OL to block for...for several reasons.
Can't get the ball to the receivers.

All Jefferson was against Tenn was basically a wildcat QB anyway. That's probably what we see in the future.

The receivers dont expect to get a catchable ball from JJ unless they are within about 5 yards of the line of scrimmage. I think that would sum it up.

There might be a little more to this. When JJ is in the game, safeties will cheat up to stop the run, so if JJ or Ridley find a hole, it may be big run, but they are more likely to be stopped for short/no gains.
Conversely when Lee is in the game, the safeties play deeper than with JJ to defend the pass.
This decreases the liklihood of breaking a deep run, but should increase the frequency of the 4-8 yard runs.

it's Matt Flynn/Perilloux all over again.
except, it's a worse version of Flynn and a horrible version of Perilloux lol.
