Bama may finish #6 in the SEC but #6 in the country is just laughable. That #1 recruiting class may benefit them in the future as long as they can stay out of jail. I really don't the love being thrown at Saban/Bama when a handful of other SEC programs have good coaching, are already loaded and are recruiting like crazy.

Really? If that's the way it went down...what a douche.

exactly ... i remember hearing him whine about it on the radio and he blogged about it ... he was literally shocked that he and the other radio geeks had to wait for a table ... the chimes should ban him to make a point

Ok if he said this, I want to know how he justifies having Bama at 6th and LSU at 9th. Is he saying that Bama has more NFL talent than LSU?

How does a team go 7-6, just 6 months ago, and then become #6 Preseason ?

I have no idea what talent they have coming back but they were a competitive team last year until the OL was suspended. They should be strong in the OL,have a seasoned quarterback, and Saban usually has a strong kicking game. The defense may be iffy. I certainly wouldn't predict a top ten finish.

who really cares what Mcshay thinks. Mel Kiper Jr. puts him in his place all the time and that is pathetic. Let him jump on the gump bandwagon. He will see.

It's just like a Rantard to take anything any ESPN guy says completely out of context. The reasons McShay gave for not having LSU higher are the QB position(which is legit) and lack of proven leadership(which is also legit). He said while they didn't lose a lot of top NFL caliber guys last year(save Dorsey), what they did lose was tons of leadership. And he's exactly right.

That said, Alabama at 6 is

I agree with you Carl. I certainly have no issue at all with McShay's ranking LSU 9th. It was the Bama at 6 that made me think this guy has some screws loose.

I didn't know about the Chimes flap. That's pretty damn funny.

Does anyone have a link to his complaints about the chimes or is it too old?

Our "disaster at QB", now plays at Jacksonville State University in Alabama.

Note: Shouldn't Jacksonville State University be located in Florida?

I do want to know why the media and the country keep doubting LSU and Les Miles?

It seems like every year ( other than 2007 ) they say we are gonna fail and we lose too many players. You would think they would stop picking against us.

I don't have a clue as to what McShay said other than what I've read from the original post...I just made an off-handed comment..You no like?

I've always liked McShay, but he doesn't seem to be as smart as I thought he was. No NFL talent? WTF? The QB situation is a work in progress, but I don't know about disaster. Again, he lost respect for sure.

THAT CHIMES STORY IS AWESOME. I, second, not letting McShay back in there.
