i might get smoked for bringing this up, but with all the talk about Crow being gone after this season and all the possible replacements at OC, what about Dodge. he just got fired at N TExas, but lets be honest, nobody can win there.

i used to do 7 on 7 with his old HS team in the summer and i really believe his offensive schemes would fit great with the personel we have returning next year, not to mention we could possibly have mettenberger as an option at QB.

one more plus we could have him as a recruiting tool in the hotbed of the dallas area.

even if, i think he would make a great QB coach. he coached Chase daniel and Greg McLeroy. his qbs and wrs out of hs consistently got D1 offers.

NT is a tough coaching gig. i know texas is deep with talent but crap ITS NORTH TEXAS! nobody stands a chance there. coach dodge has mentioned that he would like to be an assistant in college.

His offense never showed any signs of life there... So yes let's bring him in...

I think he's more fit to work as a position coach and learn the college game.

If LSU were ever to get rid of Miles though, I'm looking at SD St. now though. Just thought I'd throw that out there.

Crowton will return to studliness when he has something reasonable to work with at QB.

You see it even this year. Lee has matured and given Crowton a quality QB to work with.

And the results are: many quality drives and many TD's when Lee is running the offense.

Crowton has NEVER been as big a problem as everyone here hollers. The idiocy that started with his offenses declining and after 3 years they suck is exactly that - idiocy by some loon on the interwebs that posted a web page.

No, Crowton's playcalling is terrible.

It isn't a job you can win BIG at but you can win. The guy that was there before him had several winning season and won the SBC title several years.

It is kind of funny to see this on an LSU board. After finishing my BS and MS at LSU I wont up at UNT for my PHD.
At 35 k students UNT is actually larger than LSU. However I think one of the biggest problems with UNT is that it is a huge suit case college filled with non traditional students. Part of the problem with UNT is that no one goes to the fb games, yet they are building a state of the art new stadium.
I think if UNT could build off the success of the basketball program they might be able to make it translate to fb.

Ok, he comes in, Miles ties his hands just like he does to Crowton, and we end up with the same thing we have right now.

Todd Dodge would be a great QB coach at LSU. It would also give LSU huge inroads to Texas recruiting. Go get him Les!!!
