The year 1996. The second year of the magic being back and the return of our white jerseys for home games.
It was also the second year for the most highly recruited back out of our state at that time.

LSU goes 9-2 and ends up in the peach bowl. It was our second straight year with a trip to a bowl. Of course in that year bama, dashed our hopes for a sec west title by shite stomping us on our own field.

The second straight bowl made us all joyous

Now to today, we are headed to our second straight non-new years bowl, but instead of hope that we are improving its the crumbling of the empire.

We get the best of both worlds Les stays and we return to the magic of the mid 90s.

yes much like Derrick Henry going for 200 plus on us. It was a miserable night in tiger stadium.

My memory might be a little bit fuzzy but I also believe that the LSU-bama game in 96 is why game day now has a net.

of note we did at least manage to beat ole miss and arky in 96

And choked in the Iron Bowl. If they won, we would have played for the SEC championship.

If the training staff didn't frick up Herb Tyler we would have won that game. They gave Herb a shot when he hit his hand on a helmet and hit a nerve with the needle. His entire arm went dead. Sparacino maybe the worst backup QB in LSU history played the entire game except for the first drive. Offense couldn't do shite. Score was 0-0 at the half. LSU D stacked the line and blitzed on nearly every down in the second half and Alexander broke a bunch of long runs. I think over 200 of his yards was on like 5 or 6 runs.

why do you hate 1996? its an exciting time to be back in the mid 90s. Im cool with staying here forever the magic was a great time plus KF3 was fun to watch. we have another KF3 right now. we also had a qb that threw about as well as what we have now.

I remember their vaunted d line with Michael Myers. We took the opening drive and marched down for a beautiful play action rollout td to David LaFleur. FALSE START. Missed fg and the rest is history. Much like the jc Copeland fumble, the game was lost from there.
