Why the frick are y'all even fans? If all you can do on this board is bitch and complain and not back up the man that was chosen as our coach then you need to go find another team. Some of things I've read are ridiculous. Real LSU fans would be happy because our PLAYERS got the Coach THEY wanted. All you negative people ain't fans.

You are doing quite a bit of complaining yourself. Yes, some people post stupid stuff. If that offends you then get off of TD.
I'm unhappy with the process and will wait and see how Coach O does. It is apparent that there never was a serious coaching search. The job was Orgeron's to lose. I've not made negative comments about Coach O and will not unless related to his performance.
As far as the players getting the coach they wanted; 1. They also wanted to keep Miles, 2. Didn't help them vs Bama and UF.
Get off your high horse.

A.) Of course. Players love "player's coaches". Long on rah rah (or yaw yaw) and typically short on discipline. Players don't like Saban because he's a task master. Alabama should fire him, right?
B.) Do people really believe these kids spend their childhoods playing football, going to ID camps to get scholarships and dream of the NFL only go out there on Saturday and phone it in on front of 100,000 screaming fans? If you're playing at a big time SEC school, you're already "motivated"

In 1987 the players wanted Mike Archer and that turned out to be a disaster.

The Texas players also wanted to keep Charlie Strong. Fortunately for them, the Texas administration was competent enough to not base its coaching decision on the preference of 18-22 year old kids, most of whom will no longer be on the team in 2 years.
