LSU fans love to throw their coaches under the bus. It is always the same b.s. - we have the greatest talent every assembled and should win every game, and every championship.

We have too many ingrates in our fan base.

I say we need term limits at LSU. Coach for 4 years then get a new one. If you win a championship, your 4 years start over.

ETA: that was sarcasm, but I wonder how often a coach has to win it all to avoid having his head called for at LSU.

who would defend a coach with the 5th highest winning percentage in college baseball?

I don't like certain things he does, for instance; continually taking the bat out of Freeman's hands is a mistake imo especially early in a game. there is more than one way to advance a runner, he's one of the best hitters in the league, he's a contact hitter, he's fast

I also don't like that he stole Duplantis last night when he has one of the league leaders in slugging percentage at the plate

but he needs to be fired? - no

Could you imagine if LSU fired their head football, basketball and baseball coaches all in the same academic year? lol

Name a coach who has performed better in the last 10 years.

I like the way you bring the tried and true yet somewhat worn out Less Miles defense to Paul the hard heads defense. Gee look how many games he's won.
So sad! Just like Miles he won it all once and you will not see that again. My goodness he kept a boat anchor on staff for years in Sanchez.

Slaughter was calm and disciplined enough to let ball four go by.

We worked the count, no one panicked. I think you know shite about baseball.

Why do people continue to compare Paul Mainieri to Les Miles and baseball to football?
The two sports aren't the same, neither are the two coaches.

Oh and what happened after that? How did we handle that bit of adversity?

To all that continue to want CPM fired. Who can you realistically get to replace him that will no doubt be better? He is a top 5 coach in the country and the other 4 aren't leaving where they are to come to Baton Rouge.

Their answer will be "every season, every game." He should never lose. Every other team has inferior talent. All the players should be like five year pros who never have a bad game or off day.

At LSU it's about Championships. Skip built the baseball tradition on that.
