The NFL has the best offensive and defensive line personnel available, correct?

Therefore, talent wise, they should cancel each other out. But THEY DON'T !!! WHY???

Schemes and adjustments on a weekly basis. Not "let's run into that brick wall over and over".

Right. It wasn't any sort of evenly contested battle in the trenches. This thread makes no sense.

Our O line has been VERY effective this season...until Saturday night in Tuscaloser. Watch, they'll be very effecgtive in our remaining games.

As bama's 5-year senior center said after the game, that was the best alabama's lines could play. When their 4-5 star linemen play their best, they are gonna beat our 3-4 star linemen.

Why does a team in the NFL look like unstoppable world beaters one week and then get shut down by a "lesser team" the next week? shite happens.

Actually, it is more to the tone of, every team is competitive, and some times, the better team even wins.

It is our O-Line's fault for getting manhandled and immediately getting pushed two yards back almost every play.

It is our coaching staff's fault for not making any adjustments throughout out the game once seeing that we were getting manhandled.

A loss like that can't be put on just one person/group of people.

Are we done now?

Scheme has way more to do with what happened than the oline just playing poorly. Not saying they played great but it's not all their fault.

On first down and most second downs their dline was anchoring which means they weren't trying to get penetration they were holding their ground at all cost and taking up as many blockers as possible. Which causes a huge cluster frick and gives the linebackers room to breath.

This means play action or quick passes on first and second down should have been there all night. The dline would be too focused on holding their ground and by the time the realize it's a pass the ball is out of the qbs hands.

And running into a brick wall on first and second down left us with 3rd an 8+ constantly. Good dlineman love this, gives them a chance to pin their ears back and make a play without worrying about gap control.
