To those that said 37-7 wouldn't have happened under Miles, remember Auburn 2014?

We lost 41-7 at Auburn. Yes, Auburn was the #5 team at the time, but they ended up being a mediocre 8-5 team with a blowout loss to Georgia. Auburn hadn't beaten us that badly since the famous 1999 game in BR.
I understand it's only Mississippian St, but we have yet to see how good of a team they really are. I think they'll end up being a top 10 team when all is said and done.
I guess my point is- while this is unprecedented in our series with MSU, it's not unprecedented in SEC play against mediocre competition, and Miles definitely wasn't immune to this type of game.
I report, you decide.
ETA: this is not an excuse post, support for Ed O, disdain for Miles. Just simply saying LSU hasn't been immune to this type of game.

Auburn that was fresh off a Championship appearance. Us with a whole bunch of new starters. GTFO with this excuse making.

Don't come in here with this logical shite. tRant only deals in off the cuff complaints

Brandon Harris was making his 1st career start in that game.

It's not logical. State last year had a sub .500 record. How was that AUburn team?

How does this prove anything? We fired Miles. Why is Oregeron doing the same acceptable?

Totally forgot about this game. Shocked it hasn't been mentioned on here yet. You really brought something new to the board with this one.

Brandon Harris's first start of his career. Apples to oranges.

Why are we using the last few failure seasons of the guy who just got fired (Miles) as a barometer? We hired Orgeron for the sake of "continuity" and no need to rebuild under the theory that we'd immediately be headed in the direction of being championship caliber again. Of course, there's always the chance that this team will do a complete 180 and win 9-10 games, but what about losing to ANYONE by 30 points in such humiliating fashion instills such confidence?

We don't even know if this team can 9 games.

There was a nother bad loss on the plains under Saban. It was 2002 I believe. Randall threw like 4 ints.

Sorry, I meant MSU will be top 10.

What point do you think you're making here? That was a low point for Miles at the tail end of over a decade here. This is game 3 of O's first year as coach. YOu think that's a good thing for O?

What if State finishes 9-3 or 10-2? That Auburn team in 2014 finished 8-5. What they did the year prior is irrelevant because they weren't a championship team the year they beat us 41-7
