you do realize that practically everyone loves the student section, right? while at the same time they don't like their songs being taken away because of the student sections actions. can you not separate the two?

The admin is just being silly to ban songs.

So you are saying your issue is with the songs being taken away....
That's on the administration; NOT the students. take your grievances up with the people that can cause change and bring those songs back..The Administration.

We can't do without the student section, but don't go off on all us seniors, either. I'm 65 and we drive 7.5 hours for every home game and we make virtually every away game, as well. I hate to see people leave eary but they come in all ages and sexes.

And what exactly is your argument against Frats exactly? I'm thinking you're generalizing and not really painting an exact picture here. Perhaps I can paint the incident in which you decided that you will have total disdain for "The Frats".

Awww that is such a sweet story Campy. I'm joking. But I really feel that you're bitter about something in regards to guys who dress nice. And yes I am a Frat Guy as well, but I'm also a lot of things so it'll be hard to generalize me.

Again, no one is asking the students to not have a good time and cheer their asses off. They've done that.
What people are fed up with, and rightfully so, is a bunch of idiotic and likely illegally drunk 18-20 year olds scream "Suck that Tiger Dick, Bitch" at the top of their lungs.
Not only is it utterly stupid and embarrassing, but it is totally pathetic that we even have to tell them so. Just shut the hell up with that specific saying and most of the complaints would stop.

You are absolutely correct! and I remember well the first time I heard that cheer was at the LSU OLE Miss game in the late 80's when they played in Jackson Mississippi, and I was horrified and laughed at the same time!!
I do not like vulgar language, but...I have tickets in the Student section this year for the Ole Miss game, because there is nothing like a game in Tiger Stadium sitting in the atmosphere by the band and the students...vulgarities and all! I cringe, but the goosebumps that come with the swelling pride all around when we score can't be compared. So, you just have to get over the "youthful" sounding chants, and enjoy the moment! I can't wait to be there on the 20th!! and by the way, I am an old fogey at 58, so I am telling y'all...just enjoy the electricity at our games, and try to overlook the students acting like students! It has always been that way! Some of us are not so old we can't remember that!!
