Maybe the kids on the teams come on here sometimes, I don't know. I just read an article on Facebook about you and the team being upset about you not being invited to NY for the Heisman Awards and I just wanted to say this.

I have followed LSU football and SEC football for a long time as I am almost 50 years old. I had more fun watching you run the football this year than any back I have watched in college football since Bo Jackson played at Auburn. I know I am one of those damn Bama fans but I love Bo Jackson and grew up just down the road from him although he was a little older than me. I touted you all season to anyone that would listen. You remind me a lot of Bo Jackson when you run the football and in my mind he was the greets of all time.

The Heisman is a big deal but in the grand scheme of things it is nothing compared to what God has in store for your life. Who knows, you may win it next year but it doesn't matter. There is not one person on this board that would not trade places with you in life right now. god has given you a talent that is very rare and doesn't come along often.

I would reflect on this year, continue to work hard and look forward to the things to come. Take it from an older man, you will get to be a husband, a father that raises his kids, one day a grandfather, a mentor to young man that will look up to you. When you play in the NFL you will have an opportunity through your team to make kids dreams come true through the make a wish foundation like most all athletes do. There are many great things that lie ahead for you. The best part is that your talents and gifts as an athlete will provide the means for you to take care of your family in a way that most of us can only ever dream of.

The best is yet to come so keep your head up!

God bless you young man,

Scoop!!

Your monthly say something nice about LSU on the Tiger Rant only to return to the SEC Rant to flame them.

He already is. That being said, we should all feel privileged to see such a tremendous back play and represent the p & g with pure class.

Scoop...classy post. I think Fournette has the ability to do well in the NFL. What he does with his life will define his legacy outside the lines. He seems very humble and respectful of his coaches.

Very subtle way to push the NFL angle. You'd just love it if he sat out next year.

The Heisman is the most overrated award in any sport. The fact that he wasn't invited proves this.

I think they both deserve to go. I also agree with the other poster that said it is kind of a dumb award. Football is a team sport. I will say this, I think that LF would have done better on our team than Henry did and that is not an attempt to criticize Henry, I like him too but they are very different backs. henry is just a big bull dozer and I think LF could het the hole and then do more in open space or maybe find opens space sometimes when Henry just lowers his head.

Just my opinion and that is not a knock on the LSU line. It is two different offenses and I think the Bama offense would suit LF well.
